תקומת רשקוב שיקום בית העלמין היהודי העתיק ושחזור בית הכנסת הייחודי-מקום מושבם של גדולי תורת החסידות. in 1930 during a Communist Pogrom the Synagogue was burnt.

Back in the day Rascov was an important stronghold on the border of Podolia and Bessarabia. It had a trade harbor on the Dnestr river and a vast Jewish community led by two of the most notable disciples of Baal Shem Tov, making this town one of the centers of early Hasidism

The Great Synagogue was completed in 1749 - a beautiful example of late Eastern European Baroque. The roof, the bimah, the

beautiful woodwork... all perished. Only the stone walls remain

This unique Jewish Heritage site is being preserved for our future generations by the Rashkov Rebirth Foundation. A private non profit initiative seeking to turn this bared and forgotten site into a memorial worth visiting by each and every one
