PROJECT COMPLETE❗️| Palm Loop Rehabilitation Works 💧
Date: October - November 2025.
The Palm Loop Water Network Rehabilitation was successfully completed through a strong collaboration between Montserrat Utilities Limited (MUL), and the Government of Montserrat - Ministry of Buildings, Utilities, Infrastructure, Labour, Transportation, Energy, and Ecclesiastical Affairs (BUILTEE).
This initiative is one of multiple concurrent projects, dedicated to improving water distribution networks and enhancing long-term water security, all of which are supported by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) funding.
PROJECT ACHIEVEMENTS
✅ Modernized Water Infrastructure:
Aging pipes were replaced with high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipelines, significantly reducing water loss and improving service reliability for the community.
✅ Enhanced Safety and Maintenance:
New valves, fire hydrants, and inspection chambers were installed, making the network safer, easier to maintain, and better equipped for emergencies.
✅ Upgraded House Service Connections:
Service connections to homes were modernized, ensuring residents enjoy a more consistent and safe water supply.
✅ Restored Road and Community Spaces:
All road surfaces and public areas affected by the works were fully restored to their original or improved condition.
