​Law enforcement is about more than just presence; it’s about results. Yesterday, our teams successfully intervened in a drug trafficking operation within Ħamrun.
​From searches on the suspect and his residence, officers recovered a significant amount of suspected synthetic drugs, cannabis, and cash linked to illegal activity. Thanks to a swift guilty plea, justice has been served with a 2-year prison term.
​We continue to work tirelessly across Marsa, Pietà , Ħamrun, and Santa Venera to remove illegal substances from our community.
🇲🇹 Raġel ingħata sentenza ta' sentejn ħabs u mmultat €1,500 wara li wieġeb ħati ta’ akkużi relatati ma’ traffikar tad-droga.
Ir-raġel ġie arrestat ilbieraħ waranofsinhar waqt sorveljanza fil-Ħamrun.
Minn tfittxijiet li saru fuqu u fejn jgħix, instabu madwar 80 gramma sustanza suspettata droga sintetika, 9 qratas suspettati droga kannabis; żewġ blokkok tar-raża suspettata tal-kannabis, oġġetti relatati mat-traffikar tad-droga u €3,000 fi flus kontanti.
🇬🇧 A man has been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment and fined €1,500 after pleading guilty to charges related to drug trafficking.
The man was arrested yesterday afternoon during a surveillance operation in Ħamrun.
From searches carried out on him and his residence, approximately 80 grams of a suspected synthetic drug, 9 sachets of suspected cannabis, two blocks of suspected cannabis resin, drug paraphernalia and €3,000 in cash were found.
