For people with diabetes, dried fruits and nuts can still be enjoyed but portion control is key.

Dried fruits contain concentrated natural sugars, which can raise blood glucose quickly if eaten in large amounts. Nuts are a better low-sugar option, but still high in calories, so moderation is important.

Choose wisely, eat small portions, and always balance them within your meal plan for better blood sugar control.

Myth vs Fact: Understanding Diabetes Better

Many people believe that the natural sugar found in fruits is just as harmful as added sugar. The truth is that whole fruits contain fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants that help slow sugar absorption and support overall health.

Fact: Most people with diabetes can enjoy whole fruits as part of a balanced diet. Choosing whole fruits over fruit juices and processed snacks can help maintain healthier blood glucose levels.

Small changes and informed choices can make a big difference in diabetes prevention and management.

As part of our ongoing World Patient Safety Day 2025 activities, under the theme "Safe Care for Every Newborn and Every Child" and the slogan "Patient Safety from the Start!", we successfully conducted a Refresher Training on the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).

This training reinforces our commitment to ensuring that every newborn receives safe, timely, and high-quality care from the very first moments of life. By strengthening the knowledge and skills of our healthcare professionals, we continue to promote a culture of safety and excellence in neonatal care.

Together, we are advancing patient safety right from the start.
