📚 Learning with what we have!

At Mzuzu National Library Branch, library officers are using the TALULAR (Teaching and Learning Using Locally Available Resources) method to help children improve their spelling skills.

Using simple, locally available materials such as seeds and cardboard, the children are learning to spell words in a fun, practical and engaging way.

This innovative approach shows how everyday materials can be transformed into effective learning tools, making learning more interactive and enjoyable for children.

Folksong Showcase: A Celebration of Culture & Music🪕🪇

Pabwalo Multipurpose Room, in partnership with Music Crossroads Malawi, presents the Folksong Showcase, scheduled for the afternoon of Saturday, 22 August 2026.

The event will be held at Pabwalo, located at the National Library Headquarters in Lilongwe, starting at 2:00 PM.

The showcase will feature performances by the Folksong Band, Hear Us Children, The Move Band, and Lilongwe Community Choir.

Join us for a celebration of Malawi’s cultural heritage through music, folksongs, and dance. Entry is completely free!
