Today we proudly carried out Fruit Tree Planting With Hope at DMI – St. John the Baptist University, Lilongwe Campus.

This special activity was led by the DMI Eco Club in collaboration with Climate YES Malawi Hub, marking the first time fruit trees are being planted on our campus. Beyond beautifying our surroundings, these trees will improve air quality, provide shade, and in the future offer fruits—true sustainability in action.

We are grateful to everyone who participated and supported this initiative as we continue caring for the trees planted in previous years while adding new life to our environment. 🌱💚

Proud moment for our team as we recognize Bettie Golosi for representing us at the Climate Justice March to Parliament in collaboration with the Clean Cities Project.

Her powerful message — “Involve women and youth in the climate fight” — reminds us that real climate solutions must include the voices and leadership of those most affected. Standing firm for justice, accountability, and inclusion, Bettie carried our commitment beyond campus and into the national conversation.

We celebrate your courage, leadership, and dedication to environmental advocacy. You have made us proud and inspired many to act.

As we prepare for Fruit Tree Planting With Hope, the DMI Eco Club has begun clearing and maintaining the areas around the trees we planted last year.

This activity is being led by our president, Blessings Joshua, as we get ready to plant more trees and continue our commitment to environmental care and sustainability.

Together with Climate YES Malawi Hub, we are not only planting new trees but also nurturing the ones already growing. 🌱💚

🌱 SUCCESSFUL TREE PLANTING AT DMI CAMPUS 🌱

The DMI Environmental Club is proud to share that we have successfully conducted a tree planting exercise at our campus. This meaningful activity was led by our Vice Principal (Academics), whose support and leadership made the event a great success.

We sincerely appreciate Lilongwe City Council for the generous donation of the tree seedlings, which will greatly contribute to campus beautification, environmental conservation, and the promotion of a greener and healthier learning environment.

As a club, we remain committed to protecting nature, fighting climate change, and encouraging sustainable practices within and beyond our campus. 🌍🌳

Together, let us continue nurturing these trees and safeguarding our environment for present and future generations.
