احتفلت سفارة جمهورية مصر العربية في مالاوي بالعيد الوطنى المصرى بمناسبة الذكرى الرابعة والسبعين لثورة ٢٣ يوليو المجيدة، حيث تقدم الحضور السيد جورج تشابوندا وزير الخارجية المالاوي ، كضيف شرف الاحتفال، الذى ضم لفيف من القيادات السياسية وعلى رأسهم السيدة وزيرة الزراعة والري المالاوية ووزيرة الطاقة المالاوية وكبار المسؤولين المالاويين، والسفراء الأجانب، وممثلي المنظمات الدولية وممثلي مجتمع الأعمال، إلى جانب عدد من أبناء الجالية المصرية الكرام.
في كلمتها خلال الاحتفال، أوضحت السيدة السفيرة/ رشا حمدي أن ذكرى ثوره ٢٣ يوليو تمثل فرصة ليس فقط لتذكر حدث فارق في التاريخ المصري بل وتعد فرصة للتأكيد علي ما تشهده مصر حاليا من تنمية في مختلف المجالات موضحة أن مصر تسير بخطى ثابة نحو التنمية المستدامة الشاملة في جميع المجالات وفقا لرؤية مصر ٢٠٣٠, مشددة أن تلك التنمية تزامنت مع اضطلاع مصر بمسؤولية مساعدة الدول الأفريقية في تحقيق التنمية في مختلف المجالات خاصة في ظل مواجهة التحديات الخاصة بالأمن الغذائي وأمن الطاقة في القارة الأفريقية وفي إطار سياسة الحلول الأفريقية للمشاكل الأفريقية.
علي صعيد آخر، احتفت السيدة السفيرة بما شهدته العلاقات بين مصر ومالاوي مؤخراً من زخم علي مختلف الأصعدة موضحة ما تم اتخاذه من خطوات من شأنها تعزيز التعاون بين البلدين في مجالات الزراعة والري والطاقة ومشروعات البنية التحتية، موجهة الشكر للمسؤولين والوزراء المالاويين علي ما ابدوه من مرونة ورغبة في تعزيز التعاون بين مصر ومالاوي.
من جانبه، هنأ السيد وزير الخارجية المالاوي السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي بمناسبة العيد القومي المصري، موجهاً تهنئته للفريق القومي المصري لكرة القدم على الإنجاز التاريخي الذي تم تحقيقه في كأس العالم، فضلا عن تهنئته للحكومة المصرية لافتتاح مقر القيادة الاستراتيجية بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة.
في ذات السياق، أشاد الوزير المالاوي بحرص مصر علي نقل خبراتها المتطورة في مجالات الزراعة والري والأمن الغذائي للدول الأفريقية بشكل عام، ولمالاوي بشكل خاص، معرباً عن أمله في زيادة وتوثيق التعاون بين البلدين في مختلف المجالات.
The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Malawi celebrated Egypt's National Day, commemorating the 74th anniversary of the glorious July 23 Revolution. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. George Chaponda, the Malawian Minister of Foreign Affairs, as the guest of honor. Attendees included a host of political leaders, most notably the Malawian Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, the Minister of Energy, senior Malawian officials, foreign ambassadors, representatives of international organizations, members of the business community, and a number of esteemed members of the Egyptian community.
In her address during the celebration, Ambassador Rasha Hamdy explained that the anniversary of the July 23 Revolution is an opportunity not only to remember a pivotal event in Egyptian history but also to highlight the development Egypt is currently witnessing across various sectors. She emphasized that Egypt is steadily progressing towards comprehensive and sustainable development in all fields, in accordance with Egypt's Vision 2030. She stressed that this development coincides with Egypt's commitment to assisting African countries in achieving development in various sectors, particularly in addressing the challenges of food and energy security on the African continent, and within the framework of the policy of African solutions to African problems. On another note, the Ambassador celebrated the recent momentum in relations between Egypt and Malawi across various sectors, highlighting the steps taken to enhance cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, irrigation, energy, and infrastructure projects. She expressed her gratitude to Malawian officials and ministers for their flexibility and willingness to strengthen cooperation between Egypt and Malawi.
For his part, the Malawian Foreign Minister congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Egypt's National Day and extended his congratulations to the Egyptian national football team on their historic achievement in the World Cup. He also congratulated the Egyptian government on the inauguration of the Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
In the same context, the Malawian Minister commended Egypt's commitment to sharing its advanced experience in agriculture, irrigation, and food security with African countries in general, and Malawi in particular, expressing his hope for increased and deeper cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
