Medevac from Mt. Cristo Rey
Fire personnel responded to a fall off Mt Cristo Rey this morning.
A female in her 40s fell approximately 50 feet and sustained multiple injuries. Patient was found US Border Patrol El Paso Sector.
Patient was flown to the hospital by El Paso Fire Department Fire Star 1.

Blue Park Structure Fire
Fire personnel responded to a residential structure fire on the 800 Block of Blue Park Ave. Garage was fully involved upon arrival. Fire under investigation by SPFD Fire Marshal. No injuries reported. Assisted by Dona Ana Fire Rescue. Time out: 8:35 pm

Transformer fire
Fire personnel are on scene of a transformer fire McNutt Rd and Fifth Street near the power station. Urging all drivers to use caution in the area.
Body Recovery
Fire personnel assisted US Border Patrol El Paso Sector DASO, and OMI with a body recovery The body was found in the desert near mile marker 139 on Highway 9 Time Out 9:37PM
Swift Water Rescue Certification Training
Personnel from Sunland Park Fire Department El Paso Fire Department , and Horizon Fire Department conducted certification and recertification water rescue training in the American canal next to the Rio Grande River.
Two States and three fire departments training together today to work together tomorrow.
Search and Rescue
Fire personnel and CBP assisted Dona Ana Fire Rescue search the desert off Bi-National Ave for 2 people that called 911 for help
Both persons were found by DAFR and medical care was initiated
One person did not survive. The other person was taken by Border Patrol

Patient was air lifted to the trauma center by Native Air

Sunland Park Fire Marshals Office has issued an Open Burning Ban for the City of Sunland Park, NM. Weather conditions do not allow open burning at this time. Anyone caught illegally burning is subject to a citation. Please help keep Sunland Park safe!
Desert Rescue
Fire personnel and Doña Ana Fire Rescue responded into the desert off Pete Domeinici Hwy and Bi national Ave to assist Border Patrol
1 person did not survive. A 2nd patient with heat exposure was transported with non life threatening injuries
