👁️ World Sight Day 2025 Collaboration Event👁️

In conjunction with World Sight Day 2025, our department had the honour to collaborate with St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang in a meaningful celebration held at Kompleks Penyayang, Penang.

This event aimed to promote awareness on the importance of eye health and vision care, while strengthening partnerships between healthcare professionals and the community.

We extend our sincere appreciation to St. Nicholas’ Home, Penang for their cooperation and to all participants who contributed to the success of this programme.

Together, we continue our commitment towards “Love Your Eyes” and ensuring better vision for all. 💛

Petugas National Eye Survey IV (NES IV) sedang menjalankan saringan mata dari rumah ke rumah di kawasan-kawasan terpilih di negeri Pulau Pinang.

*📍 Kawasan terlibat:*
1️⃣ Timur Laut
2️⃣ Barat Daya
3️⃣ Seberang Perai Utara
4️⃣ Seberang Perai Tengah
5️⃣ Seberang Perai Selatan

*🎯 Tujuan utama:*
Menilai tahap kebutaan dalam kalangan rakyat Malaysia berumur 50 tahun ke atas bagi merancang perkhidmatan penjagaan mata yang lebih baik.

👨‍⚕️ Petugas kami terdiri daripada *Pegawai Perubatan, Optometris, Jururawat dan Pembantu Perubatan terlatih.*

✅ Apa yang anda perlu lakukan jika terpilih sebagai responden?
✔️ Beri kerjasama kepada petugas kami
✔️ Jalani saringan mata secara percuma
✔️ Akan menerima surat rujukan ke klinik atau hospital terdekat jika masalah penglihatan dikesan

🚨 HOW SERIOUS IS THE LEVEL OF BLINDNESS IN MALAYSIA?👁️❗

National Eye Survey IV (NES IV) 2025 is now happening in Penang!

📣 To all Penang residents aged 50 and above— you may be selected to take part in the National Eye Survey (NES IV), a nationwide study to determine the level of blindness among Malaysians.

📊 Vision loss and preventable blindness are on the rise. Many people only realise they have serious eye problems when it’s already too late.

NES IV aims to:
✅ Assess the true level of blindness among Malaysians
✅ Identify the main causes of preventable blindness
✅ Help improve and plan better eye care services for all

👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ Our team — including optometrists, doctors, and nurses — will visit selected communities to offer free eye screenings.

📍 If you are selected, please give your full cooperation.
✅ The screening is simple, safe, and confidential.
