✨ Day 2 at NICE 26: Innovation in Action
What an incredible Day 2 at NICE 26!
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre was buzzing with energy as innovators, researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, students and visitors came together to explore everything NICE 26 had to offer. The fantastic turnout and enthusiasm throughout the venue made the day truly memorable.
A major highlight was the official launch of NICE 26 by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia. The ceremony featured the Malaysia Commercialisation Year (MCY) 2025 Awards, MySTI Awards and the exchange of Memoranda of Understanding and Memoranda of Agreement, followed by the Prime Minister’s tour of the exhibition hall.
The conference opened with an engaging Ministerial Dialogue featuring YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, and YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives. This was followed by insightful sessions exploring science, health, longevity, biotechnology and national resilience.
Under the theme **“Science for Life: Bioeconomy, Health and National Resilience”**, the afternoon programme continued with insightful discussions on science, health, longevity, biotechnology and the development of a more resilient and sustainable nation. The Commercialisation Funding Presentation, Strategic Partnership Exchange and Product Launch further demonstrated how innovation can move from ideas to real-world impact.
Beyond the main conference, visitors enjoyed an exciting array of innovations presented by our exhibitors. The NICE 26 Podcast also featured an enlightening conversation between YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang and Ashran Dato’ Ghazi, Chief Executive Officer of MRANTI, on transforming research into meaningful impact and rethinking Malaysia’s innovation economy.
Our Pocket Talks continued to be a big hit, delivering engaging and accessible conversations throughout the day. The Pitching Session by CRADLE, business matching activities and other satellite programmes created even more opportunities for innovators, investors and industry partners to connect, exchange ideas and explore future collaborations.
Day 2 truly reflected the spirit of NICE 26-a vibrant meeting point where ideas were shared, partnerships were formed and innovation moved closer to the market.
