Our hearts are full. ❤️

So many kind people answered our call when we shared our wishlist of much-needed supplies.

On the day of our Groove Dance Party💃🕺🏻 fundraiser, several ladies arrived with car boots full of gifts - eggs, pumpkins, broccoli and rolls of bandages for our four special ones on wheels.

🙏🏼A heartfelt thank you to Janice Kong and friends for showing up with arms full of goodies - and then joining us on the dance floor to raise even more for our dogs.

You didn’t come empty-handed. You came with ❤️full hearts, full car boots and 💃happy feet. We are deeply grateful. 🐾

🎉ABOUT LAST NIGHT 🕺🏻💃

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to all the instructors from the various dance studios, for coming together and making our Groove Dance Party fundraiser happen. ❤️

We always wrap up every fundraiser with a simple P&L. It matters to us to know exactly how our efforts fared and more importantly, how much actually goes towards our dogs.

Last night was an absolute blast - and because the food was fully sponsored by Fat Tongue, while our healthy local fruit fizzes were sponsored by SCOOPS, we had zero food and beverage costs.

Net proceeds: RM2,380 - straight towards the care and feeding of our dogs.🐶🦮🐾

And then there were our wonderful dance instructors🕺🏻💃

Not only did they give their time and energy to lead the dance routines without charging us a cent, they even lugged along a bigger, more powerful set of speakers to party harder!

They did all this for one reason: our dogs - to put good, nutritious food into their bowls.

For people who ordinarily earn their living through their craft to step outside their commercial charges and simply say, this one is for the dogs - that means a great deal to us🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼

Thanks also to Light, the photographer who volunteered to cover the night for mortality.

They didn’t just talk about supporting a cause. They walked and danced their talk💃🕺🏻

What more can we say except - A very, very BIG THANK YOU🩷💋

Every step danced last night helped fill a bowl ❤️ AND we had SO MUCH FUN !!🎉

CALLIE & MOUSE - HERE THEY ARE STILL FIGHTING TO GET WELL ❤️‍🩹

Both remain hospitalised and under veterinary care. They are doing much better now. They have been through hell and back, each in very different circumstances.

🩷CALLIE was first known as Cable - Look at her now compared to the little puppy found whimpering with cable ties cruelly tightened around her neck, her body riddled with ticks.

She is renamed Callie - a new name for a fresh start in life.

🤎MOUSE was knocked down and left lying in the middle of the road. Thankfully, a man stopped and moved him out of the path of traffic from being struck again.

Then rescuer Darren stepped in. He rescued Mouse, gave him shelter overnight, took him to ACV the next day for treatment and made a donation to HASS towards his medical care and recovery.

Two dogs. Two terrible ordeals. And thankful to people who chose to help.

Callie and Mouse still have some way to go. They will remain hospitalised for continuing care. They’ve fought this hard to survive.

Now they deserve every chance to heal and a much kinder life ahead.

Our HASS fur babies need a little extra love from our amazing community. 🥹❤️ With quite a number of puppies in our care, eggs are part of their daily meals, and we’re also running low on some basic essentials.

UPDATE ON CABLE 💔

Cable is a girl.

She was found on Tuesday in a park by a regular BarkPark volunteer couple who were out walking their dog.

This is how they found her - a cable tie fastened around her neck, doubled with another plastic cable loop - motionless.

She was scooped up and immediately sent to ACV. At the vet, we discovered she is battling serious tick fever. She was also clearly in pain, making small, distressed whining sounds. Her throat appeared to hurt and her body was crawling with fat ticks.

But Cable is fighting.

She is now in good hands and beginning to show small signs of recovery. She is eating on her own intermittently and has managed to stand and shift herself into another position. Small things, perhaps, but for Cable, they are small victories.

And to the sick bastard who did this to her:

What kind of twisted psycho deliberately tightens plastic around a helpless puppy’s neck and leaves her in a park to die??🤬🤬

There is deliberate cruelty - calculated, to torment a little life who could neither understand it nor defend herself.

May you one day experience double every ounce of pain, helplessness and fear that you so casually inflicted on her.

For now, Cable is safe and slowly on her healing journey.
