A meaningful engagement at the Malaysian Army Academy (ATD), where Group Captain Belinda Edmunds met with:

Joined by MAJDP Coordinator LTC Philip Kennedy and Seconded Officer Captain Adam Webb, the discussion centred on leadership development, modern military education, and opportunities for deeper Australia–Malaysia collaboration. Strong partnerships are built through consistent engagement, and this visit underscored exactly that.

Australian Defence Advisor, Group Captain Belinda Edmunds, recently completed a productive visit to Kuantan Air Base.
Her engagements included discussions with:

🎖️ Colonel Baharin bin Mohamad RMAF, Base Commander
🎖️ Colonel Mohammed Firdauz bin Hj Osman RMAF, Commandant of INSPRA

Alongside LTC Philip Kennedy, she also toured the Air Traffic Control School (SKTU) with LTC Mohamad Hasry bin Azhar RMAF, gaining valuable insights into Malaysia’s air traffic training capabilities. The visit strengthened professional ties and further advanced RMAF–ADF cooperation.

We pause to honour the courage and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve in defence of peace and freedom.

On this Remembrance Day, Australians and Malaysians stood together in Labuan and Kuala Lumpur to reflect on the enduring bonds forged in times of conflict and strengthened through decades of friendship.

As we observe a minute of silence, let us carry forward their memory with gratitude and resolve, ensuring that future generations live in a world shaped by peace, not conflict.
