Pahang Chemistry Carnival 2017 is a two-days exhibition for primary and secondary schools and university students. This event will be organized by Department of Chemistry, Kulliyyah of Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Pahang. This two-days event will host over number schools in Pahang (SMA, SMKA, SMK, SBP, MRSM) and both universit
ies, alongside sponsors and partners. Besides, this exhibition will also include a career talk, forum, Jabir Hayyan Chemistry Competition and demonstration together with hands-on laboratory experiments session. Pahang Chemistry Carnival 2017 will be held on 14th and 15th February 2017 at the main grounds of Physical Sciences Building, IIUM Kuantan. This event will be the first chemistry exhibition held in Pahang. This first time event aims to provide an educational platform for elementary students and exposed them to sciences and the university culture through lab demonstrations by the university students itself. This exposure will hope to initiate and develop their interest towards sciences. This is parallel with our government policy in their efforts to have more experts in science and technology by nurturing interest in science in young generation. In addition to that, Pahang Chemistry Carnival 2017 also aims to help and benefit the university students in planning and making informed decisions prior to their future career from a career talk and forum. Representative from non-academics will share with the students, their working experiences in the sciences field and hopefully it help to give a better insight of the future career that the students can endeavour to. Besides that, Pahang Chemistry Carnival 2017 also will provide a platform for the cooperative relationship among universities, industries and also stakeholders. This event is also highly supported by a number of governmental educational bodies, sponsors and partners.
