COSDEC SHOWS UP FOR MAYOR

Her Worship, the Mayor Hon. Cllr. Brigitte I. Fredericks through the Mayoral Fund Trust has initiated a project themed, "Donate-a-Pad" Campaign that is an initiative that helps to restore dignity, improve health, and promote educational opportunities for girls and women from disadvantaged backgrounds. Many young girls miss school during their menstrual periods because they cannot afford sanitary products, leading to absenteeism and reduced academic performance. The donation was received on the 22 June 2026, by Her Worship, whilst expressing gratitude for the gesture, COSDEC Benguela represented by Mr. Jason Naule and his colleague handed over a box pads as part of their Corporate Responsibility Initiative and during the handover encouraged other entities to follow suit.

LMFT COMES TO AID

The Lüderitz Mayoral Fund Trust, in partnership with BICON Namibia and the Alma Marine Trust, has extended financial assistance to young Ms. Catherine Mayumbelo. Ms. Mayumbelo approached the Mayoral Office seeking support to help alleviate the costs associated with her anticipated medical treatment in South Africa. Her Worship, the Mayor, Hon. Cllr. Brigitte I. Fredericks, accompanied by Hon. Cllr. Veno Mununga and Hon. Cllr. Bessly Makaula, officially handed over an amount of N$30,000.00 to Ms. Mayumbelo’s guardian on 11 April 2026. The Mayoral Office further appeals to members of the public and well-wishers to come forward and offer additional support to Ms. Mayumbelo. The Office also extends its sincere gratitude to BICON Namibia and the Alma Marine Trust for their valued partnership and contribution.
