INTERPOL NCB Windhoek Engages NAMPORT to Strengthen Port Security and Law Enforcement Cooperation

INTERPOL NCB Windhoek recently held a productive meeting with the Namibian Ports Authority (NAMPORT) to enhance collaboration on maritime security and law enforcement efforts. This engagement aligns with the existing agreement between the Namibian Police Force and NAMPORT, reinforcing our shared commitment to safeguarding Namibia’s ports against criminal activities, including transnational organized crime.

As part of the discussions, emphasis was placed on leveraging INTERPOL’s global databases and I-24/7 secure communication system to enhance real-time information exchange, track criminal activities, and strengthen border security at Namibia’s ports. By utilizing INTERPOL’s capabilities, law enforcement agencies can proactively detect and prevent illicit activities, ensuring a safer maritime environment.

Together, we continue working towards a secure and well-protected maritime domain.
