CYBERSECURITY ALERT ⚠️
NAM-CSIRT has identified a large volume of compromised credentials belonging to Namibian individuals and organisations circulating on the dark web. These include usernames, passwords, cookies, and session tokens—posing a serious risk of unauthorised access, identity theft, and financial fraud.
The threat spans multiple platforms, including email, social media, banking, corporate systems, and government portals, with some data believed to be recently exposed, meaning many accounts may still be at risk.
Protect yourself now:
• Use strong, unique passwords for every account
• Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
• Avoid saving passwords in browsers—use a trusted password manager
• Log out of all active sessions and review suspicious logins
• Only download software from official sources
• Keep your devices and antivirus software up to date
Stay vigilant—many infections occur silently, without obvious signs.
Report suspicious activity to NAM-CSIRT, Namibian Police Force, or your service provider.
