BEYOND TEMPORARY FIXES: WHY ABA NORTH & SOUTH REQUIRES A LEGISLATIVE CHAMPION IN ABUJA

LOCATION: ABA, ABIA STATE

The recent energy disruption across the Aba Ring-Fenced Area, resulting from upstream gas supply failures to the 188-MW Geometric Power Plant at Osisioma, and the subsequent local reactions underscore a fundamental truth about our city: Enyimba’s economic potential cannot rely solely on executive effort without federal legislative safeguards.

While the restoration of gas supply by technical operators like Heirs Energies and Aba Power provides welcome relief, the vulnerability of Aba’s commerce to single-point infrastructure shocks highlights a glaring gap in our representation at the national level.

When power cuts hit the shoemakers of Shoe Plaza, the textile dealers of Ekeoha, the traders at Ariaria, Ahia Ohuru, and small business owners across Aba North and Aba South, millions of Naira in daily productivity vanish. Aba’s industrial cluster cannot be left to absorb the cost of upstream operational breakdowns without structural intervention.

Speaking on these developments and the wider political discourse across the constituency, Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu issued the following statement:

"Aba is the industrial heartbeat of the South East, yet our federal constituency lacks a proactive voice in Abuja to champion our unique economic vulnerabilities.
It is commendable that state-level bodies and local energy providers work tirelessly around the clock during crises. However, a member of the House of Representatives must do more than remain silent during economic disruptions. We need a representative who will actively sponsor legislation to designate gas supply infrastructure servicing industrial hubs like Aba as Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), while securing federal SME relief schemes when technical outages paralyze our local markets.
Public office is a mandate of service and stewardship, not an entitlement. Aba North and South deserve elite communication capacity, total project transparency, and a legislative voice that matches the resilience of our people."

As the conversation shifts toward 2027, Elder Rowland’s legislative framework focuses on three core commitments:

: Sponsoring federal bills that prioritize gas allocation and backup supply guarantees for major manufacturing districts like Aba.

: Ensuring 100% ex*****on and public tracking of every naira allocated for federal constituency projects in Aba North and South.

: Using M.Sc.-level strategic communication to lobby federal ministries, credit institutions, and international development partners to back "Made in Aba" products.

Aba produces the finest goods and powers the regional economy. It is time for a House of Representatives candidate who will work untiringly to defend those interests in the National Assembly.

PROTECTING ENYIMBA’S POWER: Why Aba’s Energy Security Demands Federal Legislative Safeguards.

The multi-day power blackout across Aba metropolis serves as a stark reminder of how fragile our industrial economic backbone remains when critical gas and energy infrastructure is left vulnerable to single-point technical failures.

For a commercial capital like Aba, where thousands of shoemakers in Shoe Plaza, Ariaria, fabric merchants in Ekeoha, technicians, and small businesses rely on steady electricity - a sudden stoppage in generation at the 188-MW Geometric Power Plant translates into millions of Naira in lost revenue daily.

Reaffirming his commitment to the economic resilience of Aba North and Aba South, Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu issued a call for long-term structural safeguards for Aba’s power ecosystem:

"While we acknowledge the efforts of Aba Power and technical partners working to restore gas pressure to the Osisioma plant, our artisans and business owners cannot afford to be at the mercy of sudden upstream gas disruptions.
Aba is Nigeria’s commercial engine. When Aba goes dark, production stalls, cold chains are disrupted, and the livelihoods of young people are affected. This outage underlines why we need proactive federal legislative intervention to guarantee energy security for our industrial clusters."

Elder Ajuzieogu’s legislative commitment on power infrastructure includes:

: Sponsoring legislative measures to designate gas pipelines supplying domestic industrial hubs like Aba as Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), ensuring prioritized gas allocation and secondary backup pipelines.

: Lobbying federal agencies and credit schemes to cushion operational losses suffered by local artisans and small-scale industries during extended utility outages.

& Local Infrastructure: Working closely with distribution utilities, state bodies, and federal regulators to ensure Aba’s grid independence is insulated from external gas supply vulnerabilities.

Aba’s economic hustle deserves reliable power, transparent communication, and a strong representative in Abuja ready to defend its business interests.

OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE STATEMENT

TITLE: EXECUTIVE DRIVE NEEDS LEGISLATIVE ALIGNMENT: Why Aba North & South Require a Strategic Voice in Abuja.

As physical urban renewal, infrastructure upgrades, and town planning initiatives continue through state vehicles like the Greater Aba Development Authority (GADA) and international partners, a critical question confronts every resident and business owner in Enyimba City: Where is Aba’s corresponding federal weight in the Green Chamber?

State-level road expansions and urban planning operations cannot go very far if our federal constituency lacks a representative capable of attracting, securing, and defending federal capital allocations to match local growth.

For far too long, Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency has suffered from a disconnection between state development goals and federal legislative action. Urban renewal cannot stop at state-funded projects; it must be reinforced by Federal Ministry interventions, ecological flood-control grants, national SME protection policies, and fully executed constituency allocations.

Speaking on the developmental trajectory of Aba metropolis, Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu highlighted the necessity of intellectual synergy between state ex*****on and federal representation:

"Aba is undergoing a structural awakening, but state executive efforts cannot carry the entire weight of Enyimba’s industrial demand alone. Aba needs a House of Representatives member who possesses the intellectual capacity, strategic communication background, and diplomatic muscle to lobby Abuja. We need a voice that ensures federal road networks, SME intervention funds for Ariaria and Ekeoha traders, and federal infrastructure projects are fully cash-backed and executed directly inside Aba North and South."

Elder Ajuzieogu’s legislative agenda focuses on bridging this federal-state divide through three key pillars:

: Aligning the federal budget with local industrial needs to ensure federal trade, power, and road allocations directly complement state urban renewal.

: Eliminating the era of missing or diverted zonal intervention projects by publishing itemized public accounts of all federal constituency allocations.

: Pushing for federal trade policies that protect "Made in Aba" products, opening direct pathways for local manufacturers to access national and international markets.

Aba’s resurgence demands an elite communicator who understands governance, respects local heritage, and commands respect in Abuja. Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu stands ready to provide that voice.

WEEKEND REFLECTION: Staying Rooted in the Heart of Aba!

Saturdays in Aba North and Aba South have a special rhythm. From the busy morning hours in our neighborhood markets to family gatherings, town union meetings, and local sports fields, Saturday reminds us of what makes Enyimba City so special: our unity, our resilience, and our shared culture.

True leadership isn't cultivated in air-conditioned offices far away in Abuja; it is built on the streets, in community halls, and among the everyday people who keep Aba running.

For Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu, weekends are about staying deeply rooted in the community, listening to local concerns, supporting community initiatives, and sharing in the lived experiences of our people.

As we enjoy this weekend with our loved ones, let us remember that the future of Aba North and South belongs to those who genuinely love this land and remain connected to its people.

Wishing every resident of Aba North and South a peaceful, productive, and blessed Saturday!

FROM "MADE IN ABA" TO MARKETED TO THE WORLD: Strategic Advocacy for Enyimba’s Economy!

Aba is not just a city; Aba is an industrial heartbeat.

Every single day, from the shoemakers in Shoe Plaza to the fabric merchants at Ekeoha Shopping Centre, the thrift dealers at Ahia Ohuru, and the technicians across Aba North and South, our people prove that resilience and innovation run in our blood.

Yet, for years, Aba’s hard-working artisans and traders have been left to fight their economic battles alone.

Without targeted federal intervention, fair import/export policies, access to low-interest SME funding, and strategic federal infrastructure, our local industries are constrained from operating at their full potential.

This is where real legislative representation comes in.

Effective representation in the House of Representatives is more than signing bills, it is about economic diplomacy and strategic lobbying. Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu possesses the exact intellectual toolset needed to:

Advocate for Federal Trade Protections: Ensure policies favor local manufacturers and traders in Aba North and South.

Attract Federal SME Grants & Industrial Hubs: Position Aba as Nigeria’s premier manufacturing zone for federal backing.

Elevate "Made in Aba": Use strategic media and legislative advocacy to open international markets for local producers.

Aba produces the finest goods, but without a powerful voice in Abuja, our wealth stays trapped.

It is time to elect a representative who can articulate our economic struggles, defend our business interests, and turn Aba's raw hustle into structured prosperity.

PDP is the code. Elder Ajuzieogu is the Voice.

FAITH, FOCUS, AND FELLOWSHIP: A Blessed Sunday from Elder Justice R.C. Ajuzieogu

Happy Sunday to the wonderful people, families, and residents of Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency!

As we step into the presence of the Almighty today, we are reminded that true, impactful leadership is rooted in faith, humility, and service to God.

For Elder Justice Rowland Chimaobim Ajuzieogu, Sunday is not just a day of rest, but a day of spiritual stewardship. As he steps into the classroom today, as he always does, to teach Sunday School, he is reminded that a man who cannot be a faithful servant in the house of God cannot be a faithful representative in the Green Chamber.

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding." — Proverbs 9:10

We warmly encourage every constituent, family, and youth across Aba metropolis to fellowship at their respective churches today. Take time to sit under the word, participate in Sunday School, and renew your strength for the week ahead.

Let us also lift our beloved Enyimba City up in prayers, praying for peace, unity, and the divine alignment of leadership that will bring true, meaningful representation to our people.
Have a glorious, spirit-filled service!

Signed:
Elder Ajuzieogu Media Team
