If Governor the leader of Labour party and the National Chairman of Labour party goes ahead to endorse a mole as the presidential candidate of labour party in this 2027 election after LP has had an Obi, and now has a great choice of Agada, Otti and Nenadi will loss all the love & respect Nigerians have for them.
The rumor out there is that Otti and Nenadi has been bought to not field a strong candidate in LP Presidential Ticket against Tinubu as payback to A*o Rock for allowing LP win court cases against Julius Abure and for a smooth second return of Otti in office. The rumor is everywhere. And LP grassroot supporters are agitated in anger.
Nigerians will feel so disappointed that the only governor they celebrate is so weak that he has to sell LP to survive. And the only woman in charge of a National Political Party is already meddling in open transactional politics.
This 2027 LP presidential ticket will spell glory or doom for the party depending on the choice of Otti and Nenadi. If they chose that mole from Ebonyi State, then, LP is done for.
No serious political party will finish having as their presidential candidate only for them to return to a boy scout with zero character, competence, capacity, and conscience. It will be seen as the greatest undoing and betrayal of all the struggles and commitments. It will be a dark period for a great party like LP.
As for the argument that the presidential ticket has been zoned to the South and the mole was the only person who purchased nomination forms to contest from South: I disagree totally. The zoning of the presidential ticket which Nenadi pronounced on air during her interview with Arise News was never put to vote and approved by majority at any NWC and NEC. Not even at the just concluded Umuahia 2026 National convention being the highest decision making organ of the party. No motion of such zoning was moved.
