This period is also a time for sober reflection both as individuals and collectively as a nation in order to avoid past pitfalls and chart a new course for the next level to attaining great and lofty heights, As we all know 2019 is an election year. I therefore call on the Federal and State governments to ensure free fair credible and violence free elections. Electoral malpractices such as ballot box snatching, vote buying, multiple voting, violence during campaigns, hate speech and rigging must be avoided and offenders should be brought to book. All aggrieved parties should seek redress in the law courts as any form of violence will not augur well for the peace and stability of our country. The role of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as all Nigerians in this regard cannot be overemphasised.
Similarly the fight against corruption should be intensified more vigorously by the Federal Government in the New year. I wish at this juncture to call for the establishment of a National Hall of Shame for corrupt individuals for posterity to see. This I believe will fast track winning the fight against corruption- the hydra headed monster that has eaten deep into the socio-economic and political fabric of the country. FATHERS DAY
Beloved,
What kind of fathers does God expect men to be?
“As for me and my house, we will serve (Abad in Hebrew) the Lord” (Joshua 24:15).
As we celebrate fathers today, this declaration from Joshua exemplifies what it means to be an “Epic Dad"—a father who imparts a lasting spiritual legacy. As we explore various facets of the phrase “serve the Lord,” we’ll define practical experiences that will enrich Fathers and bless their families.
God-fearing Fathers resist justifying, rationalizing and blaming—embracing instead the truth that “…each of us must give an account of ourselves to the Lord” (Rom. 14:12).
Joshua’s personal testimony of “serving the Lord” should be the foundation for “a God-fearing Father” serving the Lord!
Joshua gives leadership to his home through the inclusiveness of his declaration: “As for…my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Therefore, serving the Lord in truth and spirit should be a Lifestyle of the people of God.
It’s this proactivity and public testimony that give credibility to leading one’s family into “serving the Lord.” Remain blessed.

Whenever there is no "sense" available, people are bound to celebrate "nonsense". For years Israelites believed God loved sacrifices & burnt offerings( celebration of nonsense) until king David discovered the right thing saying " for thou desirest not sacrifice,else would I give it,thou delightest not in burnt offering" psalm 51:16,psalm 40:16( expression of sense). Prayer: God, propagate the "sense" in me so that the world would put a stop to their celebration of "nonsense" in the mighty name of JESUS, Amen maju bayi lo.

LIFE IS A JOURNEY

Beloved,

ESSENTIAL LUGGAGE: Love, Joy, Peace, Long-suffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control.

UNNECESSARY EXTRA LUGGAGE: Adultery, Fornication, Idolatry, Sorcery, Hatred, Contentions, Jealousies, Outburst of Wrath, Selfish Ambitions, Dissensions, Heresies, Envy, Murders, Drunkenness, Revelries and the like.

Let us do away with the unnecessary Extra Luggage and walk in the Spirit and avoid fulfilling the lust of the flesh. For those who are in Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5:16-26).

May God Almighty grant us the grace to possess all the fruits of the Spirit in Jesus mighty name, Amen!
