As the Ogun State Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League, I wish to affirm our unwavering commitment to the Tinubu Loyalty Walk — a national initiative proudly organized by the national leadership of the League under our capable and visionary National President, Comrade Olamide Lawal .

The Walk is more than a symbolic display; it is a powerful testament to our collective resolve, unshakable loyalty, and unflinching support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. It reflects the united voice of the progressive youth across the federation, standing firmly behind a leader whose legacy of strategic governance, youth inclusion, and national development continues to inspire generations.

As a state coordinate, we recognize this Walk as a strategic mobilization effort — a rallying point for all young progressives to renew their dedication, energize our grassroots base, and project our faith in the transformative vision of President Tinubu. Ogun State APC Youth League remains at the forefront of this national movement, committed to upholding the core ideals of progressivism, loyalty, and active youth engagement in governance.

NIGERIAN YOUTHS REAFFIRM THEIR LOYALTY TO THE PRESIDENT ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU GCFR; SETS FOR A SOLIDARITY AND LOYALTY WALK ON JUNE 12.

Since assuming office in 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has prioritized youth development and empowerment as a critical component and cornerstone of his administration’s agenda. Recognizing that young people are the driving force behind Nigeria’s future, his government has implemented several policies and programs aimed at economic empowerment, leadership inclusion, and sustainable development.

In recent months, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has implemented policies and initiatives that are geared towards empowering the Nigerian youth and promoting their active participation in the nation’s growth and development. Recognizing the critical role of young people in shaping the future of Nigeria, President Tinubu’s governance has made notable strides in various sectors that directly benefit the youth.

The administration has prioritized youth development as a key pillar of national growth. Through various initiatives, programs, and policies, like the National Youth Conferences (YOUTH CONFAB), the government has empowered Nigerian youths, created job opportunities, fostered innovation, and enhanced their participation in governance and economic activities. Issues like youth unemployment, education reforms, digital economy growth, and political inclusion have been prioritized, leading to policy changes that benefit Nigerian youths across sectors. The confab will catalyze meaningful youth engagement, policy advocacy, and national development in Nigeria.

The enactment of the student loan act, which provides interest-free loans to students in higher institutions, making education more accessible and reducing financial barriers for Nigerian youths has encouraged thousands of young people to seek and gain admission with hopes of accessing the student loan. Acknowledging the vital role young people play in driving economic growth, social change, and innovation, the administration has implemented key initiatives aimed at addressing youth-related challenges and fostering growth opportunities.

This administration has not just spoken about youth development but has taken concrete steps to implement policies that directly benefit the youth demography across all sectors. The approval of N110 Billion for the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) will provide financial support to youth-led businesses, startups and entrepreneurial ventures, promoting self reliance and reducing youth unemployment. The establishment of the National Credit Guarantee Company which aims to improve access to loans and financial services for young entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the resources needed to scale their businesses is one of its kind.

Youths representation In governance has recorded an increase, especially with the appointment of Comrade Ayodele Olawande as Minister for Youth Development which underscores the administration’s commitment to youth in governance. His leadership has helped shape youth centered policies and programs, amplifying the voices of young Nigerians at the national level.

The broad economic reforms experienced under this administration, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of exchange rates, are designed to stabilize the economy, attract foreign investment, and create a more favorable environment for businesses, indirectly benefiting youth employment and entrepreneurship.

President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated a clear commitment to addressing the aspirations of Nigerian youth.

Through economic empowerment, leadership inclusion, skills development and policy reforms, the government aims to create a thriving environment where young Nigerians can achieve their full potential and contribute meaningfully to national growth.

These initiatives reflect the administration’s commitment to economic reform, infrastructure development, and the recognition of Nigeria talent, contributing to the nation’s progress and stability.

The IMF Loan that has been paid, all these and more are the reasons why Nigerian youths are out to reaffirm their loyalty to the President and demonstrate support for his second term.

Anticipate the most significant, profound and loudest loyalty walk across all states by the Nigerian youths to register our support and show appreciation to this administration the Hurricane Tinubu’s Legacy.

OGUN DEPUTY GOVERNOR HOSTS APC YOUTH LEAGUE LEADERSHIP, PLEDGES CONTINUED SUPPORT

The National President of the All Progressives Congress Youth League (APCYL), Comrade Olamide Lawal, yesterday led the newly elected Ogun State executive of the league on a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, at her office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

During the visit, Comrade Lawal, who serves as the Special Assistant to the Governor of Ogun State on Youth Development and was the immediate past state coordinator of the league, expressed appreciation to the deputy governor for her unwavering support and guidance.

“Every time we write to you about a visit, you have always been available and accommodating, giving us confidence that we have a caring mother in government,” Lawal stated. He further explained that the visit was to introduce the newly elected Ogun State Coordinator and his executive, who will be inaugurated on February 11, 2025. “We also want to formally invite you to be the mother of the day at the state inauguration,” he added.

In his remarks, the newly elected Ogun State Coordinator, Comrade Gateway Yunus Fayomi , commended the deputy governor for her commitment to youth inclusion in governance and her open-door policy for young people and youth groups. “We have seen and heard about many who have benefited from your guidance and support in securing leadership positions. Thank you, ma. We also appreciate your quick approval of our request for this courtesy visit despite your busy schedule,” he said.

Responding, Deputy Governor Salako-Oyedele congratulated Comrade Lawal on his emergence as the national president and praised his contributions to youth development.

“I want to use this opportunity to congratulate the immediate past state coordinator, who is now the national president, Comrade Olamide Lawal. Olamide worked very hard and has helped reshape the narrative of youth involvement in politics both at the state and now at the national level,” she said.

She emphasized the importance of teamwork and commitment to leadership. “Olamide is a team player, and I know he will work hand in hand with the right people to ensure the youth agenda is achieved,” she added.

Speaking on the APC’s commitment to youth and women’s inclusiveness in governance, she said, “We all know that our leader and father, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has always been a strong advocate for youth and women’s inclusion, and this is reflected in his appointments, which include many young people. The same can be said of Governor Dapo Abiodun.”

The deputy governor urged the new executives to take their roles seriously and remain committed to the party’s ideology. “It’s one thing to get into office; it’s another to perform well in the responsibilities given. Excellence in service tells a story of competence. It is also important to respect party leaders because they were once youths too, and your actions now will determine whether you can be trusted with greater responsibilities in the future,” she advised.

The visit ended on a positive note, with the deputy governor assuring her support and promising to attend the inauguration of the newly elected state executives.
