NIGERIAN YOUTHS REAFFIRM THEIR LOYALTY TO THE PRESIDENT ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU GCFR; SETS FOR A SOLIDARITY AND LOYALTY WALK ON JUNE 12.

Since assuming office in 2023, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has prioritized youth development and empowerment as a critical component and cornerstone of his administration’s agenda. Recognizing that young people are the driving force behind Nigeria’s future, his government has implemented several policies and programs aimed at economic empowerment, leadership inclusion, and sustainable development.
In recent months, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has implemented policies and initiatives that are geared towards empowering the Nigerian youth and promoting their active participation in the nation’s growth and development. Recognizing the critical role of young people in shaping the future of Nigeria, President Tinubu’s governance has made notable strides in various sectors that directly benefit the youth.
The administration has prioritized youth development as a key pillar of national growth. Through various initiatives, programs, and policies, like the National Youth Conferences (YOUTH CONFAB), the government has empowered Nigerian youths, created job opportunities, fostered innovation, and enhanced their participation in governance and economic activities. The enactment of the student loan act, which provides interest-free loans to students in higher institutions, making education more accessible and reducing financial barriers for Nigerian youths has encouraged thousands of young people to seek and gain admission with hopes of accessing the student loan. Acknowledging the vital role young people play in driving economic growth, social change, and innovation, the administration has implemented key initiatives aimed at addressing youth-related challenges and fostering growth opportunities.
This administration has not just spoken about youth development but has taken concrete steps to implement policies that directly benefit the youth demography across all sectors. The approval of N110 Billion for the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) will provide financial support to youth-led businesses, startups and entrepreneurial ventures, promoting self reliance and reducing youth unemployment. The establishment of the National Credit Guarantee Company which aims to improve access to loans and financial services for young entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the resources needed to scale their businesses is one of its kind.
Youths representation In governance has recorded an increase, especially with the appointment of Comrade Ayodele Olawande as Minister for Youth Development which underscores the administration’s commitment to youth in governance. His leadership has helped shape youth centered policies and programs, amplifying the voices of young Nigerians at the national level.
The broad economic reforms experienced under this administration, such as the removal of fuel subsidies and the unification of exchange rates, are designed to stabilize the economy, attract foreign investment, and create a more favorable environment for businesses, indirectly benefiting youth employment and entrepreneurship.
