I had the honour of visiting Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan, a respected Islamic scholar; Grand M***i of Yorubaland and the National President of Jama 'at Ta'awunil Muslimeen, Iwo, Osun State.

The visit was an opportunity to seek his prayers, counsel and support as we continue our journey towards building a prosperous, peaceful and united Osun State and I'm thankful for their readiness to mobilize and give us the needed support.

As we approach the 2026 governorship election, I remain deeply committed to engaging our traditional, religious and community leaders, whose wisdom, prayers and guidance are invaluable to the progress of our dear state.

I was delighted to receive three distinguished Progressive Governors to our dear state yesterday as they joined us for the historic endorsement of our governorship aspiration by the non-indigene community. Their presence underscored our shared commitment to unity, inclusiveness, and the progressive future of Osun State.

My sincere appreciation goes to His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State, His Excellency, Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State and His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, who was ably represented for standing with us at this significant gathering.

The overwhelming endorsement by our non-indigene brothers and sisters is a powerful reminder that Osun belongs to everyone who lives, works, and contributes to its growth. Their confidence in our vision reinforces our commitment to building an inclusive, secure, and prosperous state where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.

Together, we will continue to strengthen the bonds that unite us, deepen the dividends of good governance, and usher in a new era of shared prosperity for all. By the grace of God, the journey to a greater Osun has begun, and we will walk it together.

The LAMECO bridge is under repair for the fourth time in just one month after its commissioning. Four times in thirty days. A bridge that was supposed to serve the people and ease transportation has become a monument to incompetence and a drain on taxpayers' resources. This is what happens when a government gives contracts to fertiliser companies and cuts corners on quality.

On 15/08/26, we will vote for a leader who understands that competence is not optional. Vote AMBO.

The release of this administration's infrastructural budget is nothing short of a shameful exposé of Governor Adeleke's "Ede-first" agenda, revealing a staggering 71.9% of ₦362.3 billion, nearly three-quarters of all public works funds, being brazenly funneled exclusively into his hometown. While the state capital, Osogbo, is relegated to a mere 8.6%, and constituencies like Ikire are insulted with a paltry 0.01% share, the Governor has shamelessly lavished ₦130 billion on an Ede airport and billions more on dualizing its local roads.

ATTACK ON APC CONVOY CONVEYING DR. MRS SEKINAT OYEBAMIJI AND NURTW CHAIRMAN SEKONA BRANCH

STATEMENT BY HON. KOLAWOLE SALAMI

The Executive Chairman, Ede South Local Government, strongly condemns the attack on the convoy of Dr Mrs Sekinat Oyebamiji, wife of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji which occurred today alongside Alajue and Sekona Garage.

The wife of the leading Gubernatorial candidate, Dr Sekinat Oyebamiji and Princess Abimbola Adereti, wife of the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate escaped the attack by a whisker, while returning from a successful political programme held in Alajue Ward 2, Ede South Local Government; the NURTW chairman sustained serious injuries on the head and is currently receiving medical treatment. We call on security agencies to carry out a thorough investigation and ensure that justice is served.

We thank Almighty God that neither Dr. Sekinat Bola Oyebamiji, Princess Abimbola Adereti, nor any member of their entourage sustained injuries despite the incident.

Reports available to us indicate that the following individuals, said to be members of the Accord Party, were involved in these attacks: Alaga Mighty, Imonmonran, Asimi Baraka, Sodiki Saibu, Taofiki Omo Baba Money, Ojo Jaspa, Solape Alata, and Taye Trouble.

We specifically call on the Nigeria Police Force and other relevant security agencies to thoroughly investigate these allegations and ensure that anyone found responsible is brought to justice in accordance with the law.

Violence, intimidation, and attacks on political opponents have no place in a democratic society. We must all work together to preserve peace, law, and order in Ede South and Osun State as a whole.

Hon. Kolawole Salami
Executive Chairmen
Ede South Local Government, Osun State

Today was another humbling reminder that true leadership is rooted in service to God and to humanity. I had the privilege of worshipping with brethren at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Region 43, Breakthrough Cathedral, Osogbo, where we lifted our hearts in thanksgiving and sought God's guidance for the future of our dear Osun State.

From there, I joined the faithful at Christ Apostolic Church, Ibudo Isegun, Osunjela. The warmth, joy, and genuine love with which I was received by the congregation were deeply touching. Their prayers, encouragement, and unwavering hope for a better Osun renewed my resolve to continue this journey with sincerity and purpose.

Across every church I visited today, one message stood out clearly: our people desire a government that fears God, values integrity, and is genuinely committed to improving their lives. Their faith and optimism strengthen my conviction that together, we can build a state where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive.

I remain grateful to the leadership and members of both churches for opening their doors and hearts to us. I appreciate their prayers for our triumphant in August 15th, 2026, our team, our campaign, and for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Osun State as we approach this important moment in our history.

By the grace of God, I will continue to engage every community with humility, respect, and a listening ear. With your support and God's guidance, we will usher in a new era of purposeful leadership and shared prosperity for all the people of Osun.

Yesterday, I had the honour of attending the Annual Graduation Ceremony of Modrasatu-l-hajj Yusuf Al-mubarakah Al-arobiyyat Wal-islamiyyat in Osogbo. It was a heartwarming gathering that celebrated not only academic excellence but also the enduring values of discipline, knowledge, faith, and moral upbringing that are essential to building a responsible society.

I commend the management, teachers, parents, and guardians for their unwavering commitment to nurturing a generation of young people who are grounded in both sound education and strong ethical principles. Institutions like this continue to play a vital role in shaping future leaders and strengthening the moral fabric of our communities.

Education remains the foundation upon which sustainable development is built. In our administration, we will continue to create an enabling environment where both conventional and faith-based institutions can thrive, ensuring that every child has access to quality education that prepares them for the opportunities and challenges of the future.

To the graduating students, I congratulate you on this important milestone. Let this achievement inspire you to pursue greater heights with humility, diligence, and the fear of God. Together, by investing in our children and our educational institutions, we will build a more prosperous, enlightened, and united Osun State.

Yesterday, our campaign train moved to the Osogbo Federal Constituency, where we visited Osogbo, Olorunda, Orolu, and Irepodun Local Government Areas. The warmth, enthusiasm, and overwhelming support we received reaffirmed my belief that our people are united by a common desire for purposeful leadership and a government that truly works for everyone. I am deeply grateful to every resident, party faithful, and supporter who came out to welcome us despite their daily engagements.

The highlights of the day was our visits to the palaces of the Ataoja of Osogbo, the Olufon of Ifon-Orolu, the Olobu of Ilobu, and the Elerin of Erin. I sincerely appreciate these revered royal fathers for their fatherly advice, prayers, and blessings. Their commitment to the peace, unity, and development of their communities is inspiring, and I remain committed to partnering with our traditional institutions in building a more prosperous Osun State.

Osogbo is the heartbeat of our state and deserves to stand as a modern, vibrant, and globally competitive capital city. Our administration will pursue a deliberate agenda to transform Osogbo through strategic infrastructure, urban renewal, industrial growth, and economic expansion. We will complete the Dagbolu Dry Port, drive the establishment of an independent power plant, revive tourism, and create an enabling environment that attracts investment, creates jobs, and stimulates sustainable development.

Our vision goes beyond physical projects. We are determined to build a government that listens, engages, and responds to the aspirations of the people. Every major decision we take will be guided by the needs of our citizens because governance is most effective when it is inclusive, transparent, and people-centred. We will ensure that every part of Osogbo Federal Constituency benefits from policies that improve livelihoods and expand opportunities for all.

To the good people of Osogbo Federal Constituency, thank you for your confidence, encouragement, and unwavering support. Your belief in our shared vision strengthens my resolve to serve with integrity, humility, and diligence. By the grace of God and with your support, we will build an Osogbo that reflects the pride of every Osun citizen and an Osun State that is peaceful, prosperous, and positioned for lasting greatness.

H.E. Gboyega Oyetola, former Governor of Osun State and a trusted ally of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has put to rest any speculation about the President's choice in the upcoming Osun governorship election. In a clear and unequivocal statement, Oyetola declared that all endorsements made by Governor Adeleke are fake and do not move President Tinubu. He affirmed that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) is President Tinubu's candidate and that the President fully supports the APC governorship candidate.

President Tinubu is fully behind AMBO, and with this endorsement, the path to victory on 15/08/26 is clearer than ever. Osun will vote for the candidate backed by the President, the candidate with experience, competence, and compassion. Osun will vote for AMBO.
