On 11th February 2026, the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) successfully flagged off the Renewed Hope FarmerMoni Dry/Wet Season Initiative, reinforcing the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting smallholder farmers, strengthening food security, and empowering grassroots businesses across Nigeria.
The event brought together key government officials, development partners, farmer associations, and beneficiaries in a strong show of support for agricultural empowerment and financial inclusion.
Distinguished dignitaries present included Ministers of the Federal Republic, members of the National Assembly, senior government officials, GEEP State Program Managers, and representatives of major institutions such as the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) as well as Head’s of Non-Governmental Organizations.
The Renewed Hope FarmerMoni initiative continues to expand access to microcredit for farmers and rural entrepreneurs, helping to boost productivity, livelihoods, and national economic growth.
