- CHAPTER 3 & 4 - {On a mission}

WRITER'S POV.

Finally the time to embark on the mission - to seek the Black wolf has come. The warriors and their commanders were fully prepared and armed.

The sword men were mounted on their horses,the Archer's likewise on their horses, while the spares warriors were standing.

The atmosphere was tense with grieve and fear of the mothers,fathers,brothers and sisters of the warriors appointed for the mission.

The best elected warriors were trained and fortified for the mission. Well determined and of strong courage - but of cause they don't seems to know what await them.

"Your Majesty." Adir called bowing to the king whose back was turned to him.

"Are the troops ready." He asked turning to face him.

"More than ready,your Majesty."

The walked to were Adir was standing, he look at him for awhile,placing his hands on his shoulder.

" many troops were selected?" He asked.

"2000 warriors were elected in all." Adir replied.

"Without thinking twice,this indeed is a dangerous mission. Be carefully conscious." He advised.

"Yes your majesty,the warriors are ready to venture on the risk,to ensure the success and peace of the kingdom." Adir said.

"Good." The king muttered. "I knew you right from when you were a young warrior, you are the best trained and skilled - come with Him."

"As it is my mandate - we hope is not a myth. If not, you can count on us my king." Adir assured.

"I have to address the kingdom and troops." The king said walking away,adir following behind.

INSIDE THE CASTLE.

"You need no one to tell you,father wouldn't sign in with you joining the troops." Prince Ni**od stated clearly to his brother - Prince Elam.

Prince Elam had wanted to always join in the mission of seeking the Black wolf,but his mother - the queen had always dissuade him,kicking against the idea.

"I agree with brother. Father wouldn't allow you go,just like mother have not." Princess Cinderella said.

"Dem you all. Instead of coaxing them to let me join." Elam said ruffling his hair in frustration.

Prince Elam was indeed a powerful warrior, trained by the chief commander - Adir. He is skilled with the sword and spares. But not as powerful as his brother.

Prince Ni**od powerful were presume to be a gift from the gods. But he don't want to be a warrior. He was skilled with the swords and bows. Handsomeness will be an understatement for him.

Princess Cinderella is no exception, the bride of the kingdom. Her beauty unmatched. She was also trained in the field of archers. But not as skilled as his brother.

"I will go talk with father" Elam said coldly after thinking of what to do,he rushed out at once.

Both Ni**od and his sister stared at each other.

"He is just treading on a futile path." Cinderella laughed out.

"He is too stubborn in changing his mind."

"What do you suggest."

"Well let's go after him and see if father will agree to it." Ni**od said standing to his feet.

Cinderella shrugged walking to his brother. They held each others hands before walking out.

Ni**od and her sister has always been fond of themselves. He was always there for her,protecting her like she was his bride.

"Father." Elam called running towards the king.

The king glance back, likewise Adir. They were both surprise why he was dressed in his armour.

"Yes son. What's the matter." The king asked obviously surprised.

"Father,I need to have a word with you."

"That will have to wait son,as you know I have to address the people and warriors set for a mission." The king said turning to leave.

"Wait Father. Is about the mission."

"What's about it."

"I would like to join the warriors." Elam stated.

The king was shocked,likewise the commander.

They both glance at each other. Both Ni**od and his sister stood by waiting for Father's response.

The king finally cleared his stood. He walked closer to his son looking him in the eye.

"You have to take some rest." The king said.

"What! Father." Elam was amazed at what the king said.

"Yes son. You possibly can't join them."

"But why dad. I am a warrior just like they are." Elam point out.

"Yes,but they are experience warrior. Warrior that are ready to face the affliction of death."

Prince Elam was speechless not knowing how to convince his father...

"The mission is not by strength son, but by experience." The king stated before heading out with adir.

Shortly Ni**od and Cinderella burst into laughter. Elam turned,ferociously gazing at both of them. He stormed pass them heading inside.

They both continue laughing after him.

OUTSIDE THE CASTLE.

Outside the castle, the warriors were positioned already, facing the palace.

The people gathered around each looking at their loved ones among the warriors.

The muttering and noises died down slowly as the king appeared at the front of the castle.

He stood at the base entrance of the palace, the people all anxiously await him to speak. He has indeed served as s good king to the Kendrick people.

The king sigh and mused inwardly seeing the peoples fear and countenance...

"Greetings my people. Today is a day we all never foreseen will come. But here we are,being threatened by a demon." The king pulse observing their countenance before speaking on.

"It's our kingdom and we are never going to allow it ruled by a demon. We have to seek a solution before our kingdom falls. Kendrick warriors you have never failed the kingdom - and may the spirit lead you all in the mission. Do not allow your fear to subdue you,face it and overcome. Think of your kingdom, think of your loved ones and fight with vigor and courage."

The whole warrior's all applaud the kings speech.

"We ride your majesty." Adir said.

"Am counting on you."

"The gods lead us." Adir said while joining the troops.

They all head towards the city gate,riding to their fate.

Their loved ones all waved at them continuously, until they are out of sight.

🔯COUNCIL HALL

All members of the Kendrick council were all seated in a round circular form,around the huge stated table mounted at the center of the hall.

The king was seated,with his right hand man - Edmond and followed by the rest members of the council.

Their decisions are consider to what make the kingdom fortified against all rivals kingdom.

The general commander was in attendance, followed by the highest troop commander - Even.

"How many numbers of soldier's dead?" The king asked,after the whole councils are seated.

A guard rushed in,handing some paper to Edmond.

He glance through the numbers and heaved a sigh.

"Call it out." The king said, noticing his countenance.

"1 commander died during the battle,a 100 archers,50 sword warriors,and 10 spare warriors."

"That's all my king." Edmond said.

"Its time we put head's together,and seek a fast solution." The king said in a desperate tone.

"Indeed,we have to." Mesha muttered along the king,the rest nodding in agreement.

"With the situation on ground - our hope relay on just one man." Ramsay said snappy.

The whole members of the council all turned,gaining his attention.

He noticed their jittery eagerness and it makes him almost burst into laughter.

"And who us that one man?" The king asked impatiently.

"The Black wolf!"

At the mention of the name,the whole members held their breath with wide eyes.

They seems to have known much about the one mentioned.

The king kept mute in anticipation, waiting for their ideas.

The whole councils were contemplating on Ramsay's suggestion. Whether or not to accept or go with that.

"The Black wolf? But only Legends knew about his exist." Jerah said after a devoid thought.

"You have a point there." Joktan supported.

"But even if its only legend,the PALACE OF PEACE do exist." Mesha point out.

"Meaning there is a tendency that the Black wolf do exist somewhere." The king said more of a whisper.

"Let's see the map locating the palace of peace." The king ordered.

Immediately the map was brought before the council.

It was spread on the surface center of the huge table - where every one can see visibly and clearly.

Now Commander Adir stood up,using a wooden average stick in tracing the map.

"Here,the PALACE OF PEACE exist." He said placing his stick on the spot.

"So is not a myth. It really exist." Joktan muttered.

They all stare at the map for a long time,before the king speak up.

"How do we get to the palace?" He asked.

"Here. Starting from our boundary,we entered the Coast of shilon,and next is the Wizardry forest taking us through the Empty desert and finally arriving at the Palace. Your majesty." Adir explained.

"We all heard tales of how dangerous those kingdoms are. Some are supernatural beings." Roderic said after Adir landed.

"Are we truly to take the risk of protecting the kingdom from Falling into the rules of Demons?" The king asked.

They all kept quite for some seconds. Each glancing at each other...

"I am ready, my king." Adir said,as all eyes turned to his side.

"I am ready,your Majesty." Commander Even said too.

The rest member need no south sayer to tell them,they have to fight for the lubrication of their kingdoms.

"We are ready,your Majesty." They all chorus.

"That's good. Now we have to Marshall carefully." The king said.

"We have a little problem, my king." Adir called drawing their attention back to the map.

"What's that." The king asked.

"There will be a problem passing through the Wizardry forest and Forest of Night Shadows." Adir.

"And what about them?" The king asked.

"Tales about them aren't good to the ears. No mortal ever made it a life - dangerous they say." Adir explained.

"Dangerous or not,we must seek the Black wolf." Obal eventually speaks.

"Commanders..." The king called.

"Your Majesty."

"Get the armies ready. Get them informed about the mission ahead."

"As you wish your majesty." They all chorus.

"If only our armies are strong and prepared, so how many days will it take to complete the mission?" The king asked.

"It will take 5days crossing the borders of Shilon,8days from through the Wizardry forest,Empty desert and to the Forest of night Shadow. Then another 4days to arrive at the PALACE OF PEACE." Adir explained.

"That's a total of 17 days." Commander Megbert sum it up.

"That's if no obstruction along the journey." Adir said.

"It is easier said than done. So let's get the warriors informed." Edmond said.

"We have no choice,remember the demon attack kingdoms after three full moon." Raysey point out.

"Listen,all commanders should get their troops ready for the mission in two days from now." The king finalized.

"Your Majesty." The whole councils members chorused.

"Dismiss the meeting." The king said to Edmond.

"Meeting dismissed." He announced.

The elders all bowed,likewise the commanders,as each move out of the Hall.

🔯INSIDE THE CASTLE.

King Japheth was seated in his throne made of gold. He was no doubts deep in thought.

The noice from the door moved him from his thought.

He looked and behold it was his wife - Queen Briella.

Queen Briella was indeed a replica of beauty,even still in her 40. She is bold ad a queen. She always had a smile on her face. Soft hearted towards the maids.

She stood at the door,waiting for the kings permission.

"Come in my queen."

She walked up,sitting be side him. Her seat also was made of gold.

"You look worried. What could be disturbing my lord." Queen Briella said taking hold of his hand.

"The Kendrick warriors will be embarking on a Dangerous Mission."

"A dangerous mission?" Queen Briella asked after him.

"Yes. They need to seek the Black wolf." The King explained.

"Who is that?"

"One with the powers of the gods,whose power alone can match with the great demon."

"In that case you don't need to worry my lord. Trust your warriors."

"You think so?"

"I Know so my lord." Queen Briella said assuredly.

"Thanks my lady." The muttered relieved abit.

"Now. You have to join us in lunch." Queen Briella said taking his hand.

"Shall we?"

"Of cos." King Japheth said,carrying her unexpected in his arms.

"Not again. Put me down."

"No my queen."

"What will your guards say,talk less of your children." Queen Briella asked looking shy.

"Let them say what they can." King Japheth smiled walking out...

- CHAPTER 1 - {Battle With Demons.}

The whole kingdom was under the attack of the great demon.

The castle was in great fear. The demon has been defeating territories and kingdoms. Now is the turn of the Kendrick Kingdom.

🔛 🔛 🔛 🔛 🔛

INSIDE THE CASTLE.

"Your Majesty,she is approaching with full force." A guard came to announce to the king.

The warning bell was echoing in the whole kingdom.

The warriors were seen gathering their weapons. Getting ready for battle.

People were running with their children looking for safety.

"Inform all the commanders to lead their troops to the battle ground." The king commanded.

"Yes your majesty."

"And ensure to secure the castle and the people." He called back.

"Count it done your majesty."

* * * * * * * *

IN THE BATTLE GROUND.

The troops of the Kendrick armies were seen matching vigorously into the battle ground.

Each troops lead by its commander. We have the archers,the spears and the sword men's.

The armies were set for battle in their formation.

The king was in his armour, standing in front of the battle field.

Adir the chief commander of the Kendrick armies walked up to him.

"My king you have to be in the castle."

"Its my duty to protect the kingdom." He said.

"Your presence Here is complicated. Remember the demons target is you your majesty."

"And is my duty to see she doesn't get what she wants."

"No your majesty,you should protect the castle. Guardian get the kind to safety." Adir commanded.

The king ride back into the castle leaving the Kendrick armies and their fate.

"Battle formation." Adir commanded, his voice loud and vibrant.

The troops divided,each forming a formation. The archers positioned perfectly on a higher ground under the command of Aidan.

The rumbling of thunder and lightening fills the whole atmosphere.

A dark mist firmed out of the cloud far ahead if the army. Out of it descended another troops of demons in their thousands.

"Ready strong men. Archers wait till I give the command." Aidan commanded his troops.

"Hahahahah.. Funny mortals." The great demon laughed out of the mist.

"You pretty mortals refuse to surrender in peace, but choose to defile me." She spoke in thunderstorms if the mist. Making the armies shiver in fear.

"Why not show yourself, instead of playing hide and seek." Adir yell in the air not seeing her though.

"Hide and seek..." She repeated in a mocking tone.

"I must say you have the nerves,but your soul will be mine. Bring me their souls.." She commanded making another round of thunder as her armies charge forward.

The demons ran towards the Kendrick great armies.

"On my command - ready archer." Aidan said.

"Aim higher."

The archers did as commanded,they drew their arrows aiming higher towards the approach demons.

"Release now...."

The arrows descended heavily and vividly on the demons. Piecing their bodies but with no effect as they range the more.

"Switch to plan B." Aidan commanded.

The archers lighted their arrows and aimed towards the demons again.

"Release." Aidan shouted.

This time the arrows pieced the demons and what happened next was their scream as they demolished into the air turning to ashes.

They range forward getting closer to the Kendrick armies.

"Sword men ready to light up." Adir commanded the swords men.

Likewise the spears were light up with fires.

Their swords blazing with fires.

"Get ready to fight with all your might, remember your families ,your wives and children and fight till the end. Now......" Adir commanded.

The two armies merge together as war broke out.

The Kendrick armies were able to defeat the demons with their blazing swords.

The demons feeds on the souls of some by entering through their bodies.

Immediately the body turns pale and droop dead.

The Kendrick armies fighting vibrantly,defending and attacking with full force.

"Yaaaaa..." Adir shouted aiming his sword attacking a demon.

The demons continued in their numbers. Screams of the Kendrick shoulders were heard as their souls were vanished.

Yet they kept fighting back and defending fiercely.

"Watch out..." Aidan shouted rushing towards Adir who was unaware of an attract.

Aidan succeeded in pushing him but too late,the demon drew out his soul leaving his body pale as he drops dead.

"Noooooo..." Adir cried out.

He stood up in rage,he stood furiously with his blazing sword moving towards the demon.

They encage in battle. That fought for a long time.

Adir rage towards it,drawing his sword into his heart.

Immediately the demon scream out and turned into ashes.

In a short while the Kendrick armies began out numbering the demons,as they gain upper hands.

"Impossible.." Arakiel screamed from the mist. Her voice ranging in utter disbelief.

"Prepare for my coming.." She said as the mist disappeared with the rest of the demons.

The Kendrick armies heaved a sigh of relief, many dead bodies lay in the ground. But many survived the battle.

The strong help the injured.

Adir knelt beside Aidan pale body. "Thanks for saving me." Adir lamented and likewise his troops.

"Sir. His majesty seeks your presence in the castle." A guard informed him.

"Will be right behind you." He answered.

He stood up taking a last look at Aidan Body before heading towards the castle.

Some people were seen mourning their dead ones. Wives morning their husband,children mourning their father and families mourning their sons..

Adir walk into the castle heading to the council hall.

The guards open the door as he step inside the Hall.

"Your majesty." He greeted.

"Members of the council I greet you all."

"Come have your seat." The king gestured.

"You finally made it..." The man said moving closer.

I took a close observation at his face and was shocked to the core, surprised at who was standing before me..

"Mr. Kingsley!!!!" I muttered bewildered.

I never in my widest dream thought he will turn out to be the one. And what will he be doing in an isolated place,locked inside an underground dungeon.

He was shedding water out of his eyes,i took a dangerous stare at him before heading back. But his voice brought me back to the reason while I am there.

"Son your life is in danger,and more is your father's life... Including your whole family." He said.

"And why would I believe you.." I asked with groaning.

"Because you have to..." He said hoping that will change my mind to be soft towards him.

"And when did you start to care about my family..??" I asked snappy.

He stood with heads down,staring to the ground.

"How am not sure you are the brain head behind my father's disappearance..." I said back.

"You are right son.. Is all my fault - but I never did it with my own sences." He muttered soberly.

"And what did you mean by that..??" I asked trying to comprehend what his statement means.

"I was under a spell,and as we speak now, your father is been processed. And is on a mission to destroy you. And if they succeeded that means disaster is bond to happen in New York city.... " He said with sincerity in his voice.

"And you hope I will believe your lies" I said still hoping not to be soft towards him.

There was an awkward silence dominating between us,as we both stare intensively into each others eyes.

Just then my phone began ringing. I reach for it and glance at the caller, only to be surprise is my sister. Why will she be Calling?? I asked myself inwardly.

"Hello sis..." I said trying to sound pleasant.

"Where are you.." She asked her voice shaking, carried with fear.

"Is all well.." I asked back to avoid answering his question.

"That isn't the point.. I asked where are you..?" She asked again.

"Gosh... Hmmmmm. Well I went for an urgent meeting at Singapore, sorry I didn't notify anyone." I lied softly.

"You have to bored a flight back as soon as possible.. Dad has been found." She released the bombshell.

"Impossible..!!!!" I said with shock,staring at Mr. Kingsley..

"Don't be silly,we are with him at moment. He is under a treatment." She said in a rush hanging up.

I took a steady step towards the bars,where he was standing.

"What on hell are you not telling me.." I demanded coldly.

"Your father is found right.." He asked like he was expecting it.

"Tell me what i need to know,and stop beating around the bush,my patience is limited.." I cautioned,fuming angrily.

"Your ability of performing strange things,as a result if the jinn is related to the battle you are going to fight with demons." He said confusing me the more.

"How on hell do you know i am a jinn???" I asked surprised.

"Before I will answer that,you have to believe me and get me out of here." He said.

"Really.. And how should i do that." I ask pointing at the bars.

"Use your powers boy.." He said.

"Alright find a corner for your safety" I said to him.

I closed my eyes and open them. Immediately my eyes changed it colour. I formed a blazing ball of fire with my hands,I threw it to the bars. As soon as it make contact - the bars exploded as it shattered like it was make of wood...
