As the sacred season of Eid al-Adha graces our land once again, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt felicitations to our beloved Muslim community across Owerri Federal Constituency.

This holy celebration is more than a festival of joy; it is a timeless reminder of faith, sacrifice, obedience, compassion and devotion to the Almighty.

It teaches humanity that greatness is born not merely from abundance, but from the willingness to give, to love, and to stand for what is righteous even in difficult times.

Today, as families gather in peace and thanksgiving, may the spirit of Eid fill every home with divine favour, harmony and renewed hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Owerri Federal Constituency remains proud of the beautiful diversity that strengthens our collective existence. Our Muslim community has continued to contribute immensely to the growth, commerce and social fabric of our constituency.

Today, my heart rises in joy, hope and solemn commitment as we celebrate the precious children of Owerri Federal Constituency.

Children are the shining stars of our tomorrow, the living seeds of our collective destiny, and the custodians of the greatness we toil for today.

Happy Children’s Day to every child across Owerri Municipal, Owerri North and Owerri West. You are not just the future we speak about in lofty phrases; you are the very reason we labour today. Your dreams give meaning to governance. Your laughter strengthens our resolve. Your possibilities inspire our service.

In our past two years + in office, I have remained unwavering in my belief that the greatest investment any leader can make is not in concrete alone, but in the minds, hopes and future of the younger generation.

This conviction has continued to guide our numerous interventions in the education sector across Owerri Federal Constituency. From classroom construction and renovation projects, provision of learning facilities, improvement of school environments, and educational support initiatives, to the sponsorship of WAEC and JAMB registrations for 1,297 indigent students, our mission has been simple: to remove barriers standing between our children and their dreams.

Through these, we have sought to tell every child, regardless of background and where they live in Owerri Federal Constituency, that greatness also belongs to them.

I can tell you that, this is only the beginning.

My vision for the children of Owerri Federal Constituency burns even brighter. By the grace of God and with the continued support of our people we will usher in expanded educational empowerment programmes, greater scholarship opportunities, improved digital learning infrastructure, more school rehabilitation projects, youth innovation initiatives, vocational and technology-driven training support, and stronger investments in child-friendly development across our communities.

Our children deserve more than manifesto; they deserve manifestation of good governance.

To every child reading this: dream fearlessly, study diligently, speak boldly, and believe endlessly in yourself. The future is not distant; it already lives on your inside.

And, to every parent, teacher and guardian reading this, I salute your sacrifices and daily labour of love. Please keep taking care of our future. Together, I am sure we shall continue to build a constituency where every child can rise, thrive and shine.

Hon. Sir Tochukwu Okere(TOSKA), Member Representing Owerri Federal Constituency, has strongly condemned the incessant gruesome killings, kidnappings, rapes and violent attacks carried out by unscrupulous and criminal elements terrorizing communities within Owerri Federal Constituency, especially in Ihiagwa, Obibiezena, Eziobodo, Emeabiam, Okolochi, Umuguma, Avu and other neighbouring communities.

The recent killings of vigilante operatives and innocent constituents at Umuguma and Ihiagwa call for urgent and deterrent response by our security agencies.

In a passionate motion raised before the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Okere called on the Federal Government of Nigeria and relevant security agencies to immediately deploy adequate security personnel to the affected communities and take decisive actions against the worsening insecurity threatening the lives and properties of his people.

According to him, the continuous attacks on harmless villagers, farmers, women and youths can no longer be tolerated under any guise.

“I urge the Federal Government of Nigeria to urgently look into this motion and act swiftly before more innocent lives are lost. Our people deserve to live and to live in peace without fear of being kidnapped, r***d or butchered in their own communities,” Hon. TOSKA stressed.

The lawmaker further emphasized that the people of Owerri Federal Constituency will not fold their arms and watch criminals continue to unleash terror across Ihiagwa, Obibiezena, Eziobodo, Emebiam, Okolochi, Umuguma, Avu and other communities while families continue to mourn their loved ones daily.

This courageous move by Hon. Sir Tochukwu Okere has continued to attract commendations from constituents who describe his intervention as timely, bold and people-oriented.

Hon. Okere is the light and the voice of Owerri Federal Constituency.

Thank you, APC Owerri Federal Constituency for the love so loud.

My heart is full of gratitude and deep humility for the entire APC family across Owerri Federal Constituency and our great All Progressives Congress structure in Imo State for the overwhelming support and confidence reposed in me during saturday's House of Representatives primary election.

This victory is not mine alone. It belongs to every loyal party member, every delegate, every stakeholder, every woman, youth, and every progressive voice that stood firmly with our shared vision for a better Owerri Federal Constituency.

Your support has once again reminded me that the bond between the people and purposeful leadership remains unbreakable and that one good turn, indeed, deserves another.
