The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), a regulatory agency in the energy sector, has reported remarkable progress under President Bola Tinubu, the leader whom the misguided, anti-progress elements in the so-called coalition of hate want to remove from office.

According to the NUPRC report for 2024, revenue growth hit a record high that year.

NUPRC Revenue (Trillion Naira):
- 2022: ₦3.7 T
- 2023: ₦4.3 T
- 2024: ₦12.2 T
↑ 176.7% increase in 2024.

This success is not isolated. Agencies like the NNPC and the Nigeria Revenue Service have also posted record results in recent months. These achievements demonstrate that the Tinubu administration is making progress, as it is delivering tangible results in key sectors.

It is unthinkable that some groups, united by hate and consigned to political wilderness, are calling for political change.

I urge Nigerians not to be fooled. Verify the facts and make informed decisions about the country’s future.
The facts are clear: in two years, the Tinubu administration has beaten the records of all previous governments, including 16 years of PDP in power.

FG Launches $40M ICT Development Project in 10 Federal Universities

The Federal Government has launched the Blueprint-ICT-Dev Project, a $40 million initiative backed by the French Government through Agence Française de Développement (AFD), to digitally transform 10 selected federal universities across Nigeria.

At the launch event hosted by the NUC, Minister of Education Dr. Olatunji Alausa stated that the project aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aiming to modernize campuses, promote hybrid learning, and strengthen education through digital innovation. He described it as a strategic move to build resilience in the education sector post-COVID-19.

The project has two components:
•$38 million to upgrade ICT infrastructure in selected universities
•$2 million to develop a National STEM Transformation Strategy.

The selected universities are:
•South-South: University of Calabar
•South-East: University of Nigeria Nsukka, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka
•South-West: University of Ibadan, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife
•North-Central: University of Jos, Federal University of Technology Minna
•North-East: University of Maiduguri, Modibbo Adama University Yola
•North-West: Bayero University Kano

The initiative is expected to establish these institutions as ICT Centres of Excellence, driving teacher training, research, and digital education reform.

French Ambassador Marc Fonbaustier and AFD Country Director Xavier Muron praised the project as a landmark step toward inclusive and future-ready education. The Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Abdullahi Ribadu, emphasized the need for full digitisation of academic processes across universities.

"THIS IS A VERY INSPIRING MOMENT FOR ME," SAYS NIGERIAN MEDICAL STUDENT IN SAINT LUCIA AFTER MEETING PRESIDENT TINUBU AND PRIME MINISTER PIERRE

Bob Chikwem Amadi, a Nigerian medical student at the American International University in Saint Lucia, described his encounter with President Bola Tinubu and Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre as inspiring.

Amadi, who is preparing for the clinical phase of his medical training at the American International University in Saint Lucia, had a memorable encounter with the Nigerian leader and the Lucian Prime Minister Pierre on the second day of President Tinubu's state visit to the Caribbean nation.

Amadi works part-time as a talent and brand manager with a local catering and entertainment firm and was among the staff invited to provide services during President Tinubu's courtesy visit to the Prime Minister's official residence.

During the visit, the Prime Minister's staff informed him that one of the service team members was a Nigerian student.

At the beginning of his talks with President Tinubu, Prime Minister Pierre introduced Amadi, a native of Rivers State, to the Nigerian leader.

President Tinubu paused briefly to ask the young man his name, background, and how he was doing, and wished him well in his studies and endeavours in Saint Lucia.

The medical student was later invited for a group photograph with both leaders.

"This is an inspiring moment for me. Saint Lucia is an amazing island. I will describe it as a wonderful place. They are a very contented society and things are relatively calm," he said.

Reflecting on the ties between Nigeria and Saint Lucia, Amadi said, "We have always hoped that there are many opportunities between Saint Lucia and Nigeria. We share similar food crops and culture, and the connection is deep."

Amadi has lived in Saint Lucia for ten years. He has completed his four-year basic programme in medicine and is now preparing for the next phase of his education.

STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE

PRESIDENT TINUBU EMBARKS ON STATE VISIT TO SAINT LUCIA, ATTENDS BRICS SUMMIT IN BRAZIL

President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday, June 28, 2025, on a two-nation visit to Saint Lucia and Brazil.

His first stop is Saint Lucia, where he will pay a state visit as part of efforts to deepen Nigeria's engagement with Caribbean nations and strengthen South-South cooperation.

At the end of the visit to the island State, President Tinubu will fly to Brazil to participate in the 17th Summit of BRICS in Rio de Janeiro,

During the visit to Saint Lucia, President Tinubu will pay courtesy calls on the Governor-General, His Excellency Cyril Errol Melchiades Charles, and Prime Minister Philip Pierre.

A key highlight of the visit will be President Tinubu's address to the special joint session of the Senate and the House of Assembly of Saint Lucia at the William Jefferson Clinton Ballroom, Sandals Grande, Gros Islet.

The Heads of Government of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), senior government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, members of the Nigerian community in the country and the Director-General of OECS, Dr Didacus Jules, have been invited to attend the special session.

President Tinubu will hold a high-level working luncheon with the Heads of Government of OECS, after the joint session of the Parliament of Saint Lucia.

Discussions at the luncheon will focus on specific parameters to deepen cooperation between Nigeria and the OECS for shared prosperity through economic partnerships and cultural solidarity.

According to the President's itinerary, he will visit the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College in Castries to strengthen educational ties and promote academic exchange.

President Tinubu's visit underscores Nigeria's commitment to strengthening diplomatic and economic relations with Caribbean states, especially within the African Union's Sixth Region framework, which recognises the African diaspora as an essential partner in the continent's development.

Nigeria and Saint Lucia share ties through membership in international organisations such as the United Nations and the Commonwealth of Nations, and they have a common heritage rooted in African ancestry.

The visit is expected to open new pathways for infrastructure development, educational cooperation, youth empowerment, and diplomatic exchange.

Following his engagements in Saint Lucia, the President will proceed to Brazil to participate in the 2025 BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro from July 6-7, 2025.

President Tinubu is attending the summit at the invitation of President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, on the strength of Nigeria's status as a 'partner country'- a membership category short of full status.

The Partner status is higher than that of a guest country, as has been the case in the past. South Africa, Egypt and Ethiopia are African members of BRICS.

The 17th BRICS Summit will focus on "Strengthening Global South Cooperation for More Inclusive and Sustainable Governance". Discussions will prioritise two key areas: Global South Cooperation and BRICS Partnerships for Social, Economic, and Environmental Development.

Senior government officials will accompany President Tinubu on both visits.

BREAKING: APC National Chairman Umar Ganduje Resigns

In a surprise move, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has resigned from his position, effective immediately.

Mr Ganduje, a former Governor of Kano State, cited health reasons for his decision, stating that he needs to focus on his well-Background
Mr Ganduje’s tenure as APC chairman has been marked by controversy and challenges. He was elected as the APC National Chairman in August 2023, amidst internal party conflicts. Prior to his election, Mr Ganduje served as the Governor of Kano State from 2015 to 2023.

Resignation and Allegations
While Mr Ganduje’s resignation letter attributes his decision to health concerns, sources familiar with the matter suggest that political tension within the party may have also played a role in his decision to step down.

Allegations of financial impropriety have also been linked to his resignation, with some party members reportedly protesting “excessive financial demands” imposed by his office.

Specifically, aspiring FCT area council candidates had complained about hefty fee requirements for receiving the party’s ticket .

Implications
Mr Ganduje’s resignation marks a significant shift in the APC’s leadership, and stakeholders are eagerly awaiting further clarification on the circumstances surrounding his departure.

The APC has yet to issue an official statement on his resignation, leaving many to speculate about the implications of this development for the party.

Controversies Surrounding Mr Ganduje’s Tenure
Mr Ganduje’s tenure as APC chairman was also marred by suspension and court battles. In April 2024, a Kano State High Court granted an ex parte order restraining Mr Ganduje from parading himself as a member of the party, following a suit filed by some party executives.

Earlier, I signed into law four historic tax and fiscal bills at the A*o Villa, marking a new dawn in Nigeria’s economic governance.

These new laws simplify our tax regime and deliver Nigeria’s first major, pro-people tax cuts in a generation. They also provide targeted relief for low-income earners, small businesses, and working families across the country.

The following Acts will now be gazetted as laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria:
- The Nigeria Tax (Fair Taxation) Act
- The Nigeria Tax Administration Act
- The Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Act
- The Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Act

Implementation will commence effective January 1, 2026.

God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

26/06/2025

President Bola Tinubu has declined assent to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Amendment Bill, 2025, recently passed by the National Assembly.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the bill proposes granting the NDLEA the power to retain a portion of the proceeds from drug related crimes in variance to the current legal framework.

This is communicated to the House of Representatives as read during plenary on Thursday by the Speaker, Rep. Tajudeen Abbas.

President Tinubu who cited Section 58, Subsection 4 of the 1999 Constitution, said that the bill, if signed, was a contravention of the aforementioned sections.

Tinubu clarified that under existing law, all proceeds from crime must be deposited into the Confiscated and Forfeited Properties Account.

He explained that any disbursement to relevant agencies involved in recoveries must be made by the President, and only with the approval of the Federal Executive Council and the National Assembly.
