We’ve heard the questions. Here are the facts.

The proposed UTME centre in Ottawa has generated conversations, questions and different opinions. And that’s okay.

As a public institution, JAMB welcomes scrutiny and remains committed to being accountable to the people we serve. But accountability works best when it is grounded in facts, context and fairness.

The Ottawa proposal is about expanding access to eligible Nigerians abroad, not establishing another permanent JAMB office or spending public funds on a new facility. It is also part of a wider effort to strengthen the connection between Nigerians in the diaspora and Nigerian tertiary education.

We will continue to listen, answer questions and be held to account. We only ask that, as we hold institutions and people in public service to account, we also remain objective, fair and mindful of the responsibility we all have to promote what is possible for Nigeria.

Questions are welcome. Facts should lead the conversation.

For Nigerians in Canada, the UTME is coming closer to home. 🇳🇬🇨🇦

JAMB is working towards establishing a UTME centre in Ottawa, Canada, expected to commence operations in 2027.

The proposed centre will make it easier for eligible Nigerians in Canada and across North America to sit for the UTME without travelling to Nigeria solely for the examination.

It also represents a bigger opportunity to strengthen the connection between Nigerians in the diaspora and Nigerian tertiary education.

More access. Fewer barriers. Closer to home.

What does great service look like? 🤔

For us at JAMB, it starts with listening, responding, helping and going the extra mile.

As Customer Service Week begins, we’re celebrating the people we serve and the teams working every day to make their experience clearer, easier and better.

Because every interaction is an opportunity to serve better.

The Trust We Hold… is for the people we serve.

And we’re only getting started. 🚀

We spend our days processing, responding, coordinating and attending to candidates, but every now and then, we just have to join the trend. 😅

Because behind the work are people who know how to have a little fun too.

Which sticker did we nail? 👀😂

We’re listening. And we’re paying attention.

Behind every process are real people with real experiences.

From registration to support, these are some of the experiences candidates have shared with us.

We’ll keep listening, learning and improving, because every experience matters to .

Independence Day, but service doesn’t take a day off.

While the country celebrates 66 years of independence, JAMB’s work continues, because candidates’ questions, concerns and needs don’t always wait for the next working day.

Today, members of our team across the country kept things moving, supporting candidates and keeping essential services running.

It’s a small but meaningful part of what service to the nation looks like: showing up, solving problems and making sure the people we serve can keep moving forward.

Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria. 🇳🇬
