The Lord gave Rev. Joshua Talena, 21st December 1992 and subsequently on the 1st January 1993 this commission: God spoke to him to go “feed my sheep they are hungry” and gave him the Book of Isaiah 61 as the commission, but He said “stay with your present ministry then till a time when I will separate you”. In 1994 he moved to Jos where he pioneered a work for his former ministry until June 1997,

when God said, "the hour has come for me to set you aside”. In June 1997, The Shepherd’s House, A.k.a, Agape power assembly was given birth to, the church arm of the ministry. Talena is a dynamic leader with a unique call from God to reach this generation with God's transforming power. He's a regular speaker at lots of Christian conferences within & outside Nigeria.
