Today, we celebrate 64 years of independence, a testament to our resilience and determination as a people. We honor the courageous men and women who fought tirelessly for our freedom and unity. As we reflect on our journey, we acknowledge the progress made and the challenges we still face.

Let's recommit to the principles of democracy, justice, and equality. Let's work together to build a Nigeria where every citizen has access to quality education, healthcare, and economic opportunities ¹. We must foster a spirit of cooperation, inclusivity, and national pride.

To achieve greatness, we must invest in our youth, empower our women, and promote entrepreneurship and innovation. We must also address the pressing issues of corruption, insecurity, and infrastructure development.

THE TIME TO COME TOGETHER IS NOW!!!

"My honest plea to fellow party men and women:

First, let me sincerely congratulate the newly inaugurated State Executive Caretaker Committee of the PDP in Benue State. I have absolute confidence in their collective capacity to undertake their specified assignment and complete the transition process.

Again, let us not allow the disagreements, pockets of misunderstanding, rivalries and challenges that occured in our ward congresses in parts of the state to divide us further .They are usual occurrences in a party that attracts massive membership like ours.
Kindly consider that despite being in the opposition at both the state and national levels, our party still has this high level of interest, attraction and participation.
The amount of purchases of interest of expression forms for all the categories of offices in our party in a non- election year congress with hard earned personal incomes in this moment of national hardship is a testament to the courage of our followers and their love for our party.
Our leaders are in talks for the greater unity of our party. Let's not despair. Better days are ahead.
We urge all to tow the path of reconciliation, reconsideration and realignment within the party as we undertake the remaining congresses.
Let us support the new caretaker committee as it represents all the shades of interests in our party. The members are people of proven leadership.
The time to come together is now."

Dear fellow citizens,

" My aspiration is to build this party. Not to use it as a conduit pipe for aggrieved characters to destroy. The party has had its fair share of conflict. The time to reposition it is now. That's the task before us. The PDP is a party founded on the back heels of a profound struggle against dictatorship and military rule. I can vividly recollect how the G-34 metamorphosed into the greatest collective of democrats in Africa and returning Nigeria to the path of stable democracy. I participated from that onset and had the rarest privilege of being elected severally by my people on that platform. Great Benue sons were courageously involved. The PDP is the party of the Benue people.This grain of involvement is not lost to my consciousness. From Benue, let us rebuild a stronger platform for a greater Nigeria. "
