POCACOV Partners with Afro Sports Pro to Build Safer Futures Through Sports

The Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) has partnered with Afro Sports Pro to harness the power of sports as a tool for crime prevention, youth empowerment and positive social change.

The partnership is anchored on a simple but powerful conviction: when young people are given the right opportunities, they can choose purpose over crime and hope over violence.

Through sports, POCACOV and Afro Sports Pro will promote discipline, teamwork, mentorship and positive identity among young people, providing constructive alternatives to cultism, drug abuse, violence, political thuggery and other vices.

The initiative aligns with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, psc (+), NPM, to deepen preventive policing and strengthen partnerships that place young people at the centre of crime prevention.

This collaboration reinforces POCACOV’s Identity Replacement Strategy replacing negative influences with positive opportunities, talents and role models.
