UDIROKO 2023: ÀLÀBÍ LEADS ADO HERITAGE GROUP TO PAY HOMAGE TO EWI

It was a display of cultural hegemony by members of Adó Heritage group at the 2023 annual Udiroko festival at the palace of Ewi of Ado Ekiti. This has again established the innovative human capacity, and genuine works of socio-political empire, as a show of public comity in Ado projects.

As was written by John Mason that "your life is not written by a pen, but with your actions". The resilience of the leadership of the group could be rightly described by the word of this noble philosopher.

The group's president, Bashorun Tópé Àlàbí had likened the Udiroko festival to Osun Osogbo festival and Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu Ode while talking to the journalists.

He enjoined other groups of affiliated interests to work collaboratively with and through Ado Heritage group to address issues affecting the well-being of Ado people and sustainability of the celebration of a flourishing tradition.

Alabi prayed to Almighty God that Oba Adejugbe live long to be able to nurture more astronomical developments being witnessed during his reign.

The vice president of the group, Aare Khalif AbdulGaniyu Adebiyi, said, " it is the greatest pleasure of the founders to watch the group grow from a little acorn into a promising oak in Ado projects". He added that, " Bashorun Tópé Àlàbí as the president has unshaken faith in God that the mission entrusted to him would be a success"

Aare Adebiyi blessed God that the group has become a shining object of emulation. He wished all Ado sons and daughters happy Udiroko celebration.

With the rising profile of Adó Heritage group, the group's coordinator, Otunba Ademola Ayoola said the group has through dedicated and selfless service to humanity, sponsored various activities to heighten the social and political enterprises in Ado Ekiti.

The coordinator said the current social re-engineering projects presented as palliatives during the celebration at the palace to relieve side effect of the petrol subsidy removal, would be extended to other sections of the town.

Otunba Ayoola concluded that the group has taken the lead in the socio-political and economic spread in Ado Ekiti.

Prior to the celebration, the group as a body made a cash donation of a half million naira. While the president and the vice president also made various financial commitments in million naira for the cultural relations.

The male members were decked out in their finery sky blue clothes while the female members adorned themselves with white attire with navy blue Aso-Oke as gele and Ipele.

After the traditional homages to the king by members at the palace, the horde of Ado sons, daughters, and party members thronged the GRA residence of the president where they were entertained to a stupendous reception.

Group Celebrates End Of Year Party With members
One of the leading social cultural groups in Ekiti, Ado Heritage, has marked its 2022 end-of-year ceremony, which amongst other things featured the celebration of a good outing in 2022.
The Group was primarily established to promote the cultural heritage of Ado-Ekiti; to enhance the welfare of its members and to contribute to building the Ekiti and Nigerian society.
The end-of-year party which took place in Ado-Ekiti yesterday, reviewed the activities of the group in 2022 and tasked members to be on good behavior and conducts
In his address, the President of the Group, Basorun Tope Alabi, urged members to at all times be of good conduct and respect the extant rules and regulations governing the group.
According to Basorun, the group has been at forefront of promoting brotherliness among Ado-Ekiti indigenes and Ekiti as a whole, a legacy to which the group is committed, he maintained and urged members to sustain the tempo to strengthen their bond of unity.
He appreciated members for their support and efforts in keeping the flag of the group flying.
The group's vice president, Aare Kalif Adebuyi, also advised members to always be truthful and upright in their undertakings as we seek to build a virile and happy group
The executive chairman of Ado Ekiti local government, Chief Bosun Osaloni, who also attended the occasion advised members to be of good behavior and work in accordance with the vision and mission of the group.
Also speaking, the Group's coordinator, Mr. Demola Ayoola thanked members of the group for maintaining a high level of discipline and being good ambassadors even as he expressed gratitude to God for the success of the outgoing year and His protection upon members.
He said the gathering is an opportunity for members to once again unwind and network as they pray for the success of every member in the 2023 fiscal year in their various endeavors
Members of the Group were in high spirits as they wind, dined, and danced in happiness for the mercy of God that brought them to the end of the year.

2022 Udiroko Festival:

Group felicitates with Ewi of Ado

A social cultural group, Ado Heritage Group, has congratulated the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Dr Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, Ewi-in-Council and entire Ado Ekiti indigenes on the occasion of the celebration of year 2022 Udiroko festival.

The Group prayed for blissful and abundant reign for the monarch and also wished all Ado Ekiti indigenes many celebrations of the festival. Ado Heritage Group particularly commended Oba Adejugbe and his Ewi in council on the fatherly and traditional roles demonstrated at ensuring that the rich cultural heritage is promoted during the festival.

Udiroko is an annual traditional festival held in Ado Ekiti. It is usually a time sons and daughters of the ancient townhome and abroad come together to pray for the development of their community while they also showcase their rich cultural heritage.

ALAB TAKES APC FLAGBEARER TO ODO ADO SECTOR, CANVASS FOR VOTES

IN spite of the uneasiness in the state capital today, a new twist was launched by a towering personality in Ekiti politics.

Bashorun Babatope Alabi was undaunted by the challenges of apprehension in town, as he joined the campaign train of Ado Heritage to Odo Ado sector of the state capital.

He was later to visit Chief Abe Ejigbo in company of the APC candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji. From there, they moved to chief Odofin Alabi chieftaincy house.

At Idofin, the family base of Bashorun Babatope Alabi, the campaign turned out to a jamboree celebration. A large number of people and a lot of excitement, fun, and entertainment filled out the atmosphere.

Bashorun Tope Alabi whose elder brother is the substantive Odofin of Ado Ekiti, was overwhelmed by the reception at his family compounds.

"We're all really good friends and part ofu each other's lives", Alabi said this as he introduced the APC party flag bearer, Biodun Oyebanji to his people.

They were well received by the Odo Ado chiefs. BAO, as a son-in-law in Ado Ekiti, the chiefs and the residents pledged their supports for him on Saturday June 18 gubernatorial election.

Oyebanji promised that he wouldn't strain the relationship with his friend, by failing on his promises, if voted as Ekiti governor on Saturday.

The interactive meeting was digressed to a mini roadshows around Idofin quarters in Odo Ado, Ado Ekiti, as Oyebanji and his host, created consistent interactive campaigns in multiple locations.

The point of references where the campaign team went to meet with the electorates, to make a collective decisions and election campaigns include:

*Comprehensive Health Center, Okeyinmi

*Sayo Relaxation Joint, Dallimore

*Okurumeh Hospital Axis, Basiri

*Idofin quarters

*Ijigbo quarters

*Egbe/Iremo Community

*Oluwole Orungbe/Irewunmi Community

At Egbe/Iremo Community, Mr Ademola Seventy and Mr Samson Olofe amongst other speakers thanked Bashorun Tope Alabi for his financial contributions for the construction of Egbe Square. And for a borehole he drilled for the community.

Majority of the privilege requests of the residents in all these locations are, portable water supply, good access roads, transformer with electricity, health facilities and employment.

The coordinator for Ado Heritage Group, Otunba Demola Ayoola usually responded thus: "citizens vote for leaders to represent them and their ideas, and the leaders support the citizens' interests and social infrastructural needs".

The team was well received in all the places visited. And they pledged to vote for the APC party gubernatorial candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on Saturday.

Appreciation incentives with cash donations were released to participators in the meetings.

REPRESENTATIVES OF ADO HERITAGE VISIT PART OF ODO ADO, CANVASS FOR VOTES

IT is often said that the secret of success is constancy to purpose. In spite of the political upheavals in Ekiti at the moment, the campaign team of the Ado Heritage continued its campaigns activities today. This is the height of commitment to ensuring that the slated campaign programme is not derailed.

In furtherance to adding electoral spices to the campaigns of Ado Heritage, for the APC candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji in the state capital on Sunday, the campaign coordinators and representatives met with a group of the electorate from Idemo/ Idolofin/Irode section of Odo Ado at Marinyan square in Idemo street, Ado Ekiti.

It was also a great opportunity for the Heritagians' representatives, Otunba Demola Ayoola and Hon. Odunayo Arinka, to meet with the traditional chiefs from the sector, and members of the council of Ojule Mefa, at Obajio chamber in Idemo quarters.

People of the quarters were overwhelmed with the campaign of Ado Heritage Group. And they pledged their supports for BAO in the coming election. They craved indulgence to eschew peace during and after the election.

Chief Obajio and chief Arowosemole prayed for the promoter of the group, Bashorun Babatope Alabi. Chief Obajio in particular eulogized his concern for humanity. He said he was there when the building which Bashorun Alabi donated to AUD primary school, Atose, Idofin, Ado Ekiti in the year past, was commissioned.

Incentives with cash donation were handed over to the leadership of the quarters for sharing amongst the people who came for the programme.

AS Ekiti gubernatorial election is days away, the eleventh hour schemings at canvassing supports for the APC candidate, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji is becoming heated up.

Bashorun Tope Alabi who allies himself with the candidate of the APC, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, BAO has launched into personality campaignings.

Alabi had téte-à-téte with the residents of Iwaro community in Oke Ila, Ado Ekiti today. He sensitized the residents, appealed to them to help reach out in domains to give BAO a try at leading Ekiti people. He told the residents that the meeting was intended to appeal for support for BAO in the next week election.

Alabi is a promoter of the preeminent Ado Heritage, a sociopolitical group that has been in the fore front of sensitizing the electorate in all the nooks and crannies of the state capital.

The community's spokespersons demanded for good access roads, portable water supply, and transformer with electricity.

The Oke Ila sector chief, Chief Tunji Obayemi, who said although he's apolitical, eulogized Bashorun Babatope Alabi for his love for humanity and development of Ado Ekiti.

Chief Obayemi, prevailed on the residents of Iwaro community, a community under his jurisdiction, to vote massively for the candidate of the party, in order to attract government presence to the community.

As usual, the team provided the people who thronged the campaign venue with goodies, food items and cash donation.

With the political progressivism of Bashorun Babatope Alabi in the campaigns, BAO is getting the required great tact and diplomacy to be in Ekiti government house in October 16, 2022.
