The Ekiti State chapter of African Democratic Congress (ADC) has promised to industrialize the state, through the establishment of cottage industries in the three senatorial districts of the state.
The State Publicity Secretary of the party, Rt. Hon Olugboyega Aribisogan, stated this while speaking to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday . According to him, the party plans to achieve this through the establishment of Agro processing Zone, industrial Park and Estates in the three senatorial districts.
He said that the party will priotise the establishment of Agro allied Processing Zone, engage the Manufacturing and Production Sector through private/ government partnership, encourage Build Operate and Transfer ( BOT) and ensure the prudent management of the state resources
Aribisogan further said that the party also promised to make the state investors friendly by providing a sustainable power, energy infrastructure that will aid the rapid development of the critical sectors of the economy. " The ADC government will provide very conducive environment for investment to thrive, adding that the party will leverage on the natural resources of the state to jumpstart the industrialization drive.
The new party spokesperson , highlighted the state's potential in agriculture, tourism, and natural resources and said that the ADC will reform the state education sector to focus more on technical education, skill acquisition and professional studies.
" The ADC aims to reform the education sector, reactivate the moribound technical, vocational studies and skill aquisition programmes so as to provide secured jobs for our teeming unemployed youth"
He further said that the party has continued to gain momentum, with many members from the ruling APC and other political parties joining its ranks.
"Many members of the ruling APC and other major political parties are trooping into the ADC and declaring support and readiness to join hands to bring good governance back to Ekiti state"
Aribisogan said that the ADC has come as a credible alternative party in Nigeria to offer good leadership anchored on people's mandate, integrity, innovations, and collective progress of Nigeria. "The ADC is here to take power and lead Nigeria out of the present economic doldrum, cruel tax burden, misgovernance and unabated insecurity in the land. It has come to take over from the inept government of Ekiti state and bring back the state from the brink."
