LAND GRABBERS ( AJAGUNGBALE) TAKING OVER THE SPACE OF ADO-ODO AWORILAND: LED BY CHIEF MUFUTAU AGBOGUNLORI, THE OSOLO OF ADO-ODO.
Ado-Odo is known for its rich historical socio-cultural and notable agrarian economy development in the past that placed the ancient kingdom in leadership positions among other communities in the Ogun West and Ogun State in general.
Despite this records of achievements in the past, the recent few decades in her history had been of self inflated communal crisis which hindered the progress that ought to be, which the true sons and daughters of the town are not proud of.
Thankfully, the ascension on the throne of the new Kabiesi, Oba Olusola Adebowale Idris Lamidi-Osolo, Otenibotemole II, the Olofin of Ado and Alase Iba Merindilogun of Awori-Land. The ancient town has turned a new leaf with many notable achievements, peaceful cohabitation, global recognition, economic revamp, infastructucultural development, cultural values, and human capital development within a short space of time.
However, despite these efforts of the new Olofin, some unscruptulous individuals with hidden agendas who always profit where crisis reigns have been regrouping to cause a fresh crisis in the town.
Recently, a fictitious name; "Ajaguna family" who is not known by any historical account either as royal family or has achieved any notable educational or economy height in the town suddenly woken up and claiming to own ancestral villages and farmlands of people in and around Ado Odo villages such as Idojigan, Idofe, Idobarun, Ijigbe, Ago iroko, Inowole, Ogunsola(Olorunsola), Alapoti, Ogunleke(Olorunleke) Agidimu, Oko Atan, Ago igesu, Opeyeka, Ifako, Ago Ogbe, Awolumate, Oloparun e t.c. In fact, they are claiming that all the land in owode Yewa up to Ilobi belong to this unknown Ajaguna family; obviously been sponsored by Chief Mufutau Agbogunlori who happened to be the OSOLO of the Ado Odo.
In the past few months, these notorious individuals; chief Mufutau Agbogunlori, Ode, Fatai , Waliu Lawal a.k.a stainless among others pseudonym named as AJAGUNA FAMILY, a name which have never been heard to share land or any boundary with known families who their forefathers had been farmers in their respective domain in Ado Odo Awori land want to lord it over everyone using the ajagungbale guys who have been terrorizing people in their farms with guns and matchets and other dangerous weapons, forcefully stopping tractors working on farm and farm workers not to do their jobs unless they pay them ransom before they can have access to their farms.
About a month ago, this issue of land grabbers has officially gotten to the notice of the Royal Father, HRM. Oba Olusola Adebowale Idris Lamidi-Osolo who has been making peace and called for amicable settlement of boundaries of genuine claims of persons/families in the disputed villages through a series of meetings in his palace. But, it has been long discovered that Chief Mufutau Agbogunlori has been in the attitude of changing directives/ resolutions given by the king. He usually call another sets of meetings in his own office at Ijigbo, the place he nicknamed as his own palace where he is running parallel administration within the kingdom, the same style and manner he carried himself as another Oba in the town that made him clashed with the late Oba Abdu-Lateef Adeniran Akanni which eventually resorted to crisis in the town and Chief Mufutau Agbogunlori was eventually sent to prison by Ogun State court for impersonation and instigating crisis in Ado-Odo generally.
Ordinarily, one would think that he has learned his lesson and turned a new leaf, but the reverse is the case for chief Mufutau Agbogunlori.
This is to call the attention of the Ogun State government led by our loving and no-nonsense governor, His Excellence, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON, and the deputy governor, Her Excellency Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyede to quickly intervain into the matter as the law of Ogun State is against forcefully taking over of people's land.
Again, it must be added that this is exactly how banditry started in Zamfara and some other states in the northeast and Northwest regions of Nigeria. The commissioner of police, in Ogun State, must also take this as a security tip to quickly nip in the bud the nefarious activities of these sets of people, before it escalates into another crisis in the town cum- State.
Also, the Kabiesi, Oba Olusola Adebowale Idris Lamidi-Osolo, Otenibotemole II, Ilufemiloye and Alase Iba Merindilogun of AWORILAND. must continue to play his traditional role of maintaining peace, law and order in his kingdom and not to allow any individual, no matter highly placed they are, to cause confusion in the kingdom for whatever selfish and ulterior motives of theirs.
