WHEN A FATHER LEAVES, THE HEART FEELS THE WEIGHT OF THE LOSS

In a deeply emotional moment, the Executive Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Engr. Amb. Jerry Ehiwarior, alongside his wife, Mrs. Efechukwu Ehiwarior, stood with the children and family of the late NULGE Chairman during his funeral.

Their presence was a quiet expression of compassion, love and solidarity with a family mourning the loss of a father and loved one.

Some moments need no words; only presence, compassion and a heart that understands.

May God comfort the children and the entire family, strengthen them through this difficult time, and grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.

A COMMITMENT TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY

The Ika South Local Government Area mourns the passing of Late Comr. Jolly Emmanuel Nwama, the NULGE Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area, whose death is a painful loss to his family, colleagues, and the entire Local Government.

During the Laying-in-State Ceremony held at the Ika South Local Government Secretariat, Agbor, Delta State, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, expressed his condolences to the bereaved family and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to standing with them through this difficult period.

The Chairman specifically pledged to sponsor the university education of the deceased’s son until graduation, while assuring the family of his continued support and presence.

This commitment reflects the administration’s belief that leadership extends beyond official responsibilities. It is also about compassion, humanity and standing with people in moments of profound difficulty.

As Late Comr. Jolly Emmanuel Nwama is laid to rest today, the Ika South Local Government Area extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and loved ones.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

INVESTING IN TEACHERS, STRENGTHENING THE FUTURE

Yesterday, the Chairman of Ika South Local Government Council, Hon. Engr. Jerry Ehiwarior, officially flagged off the second edition of the Three-Day Capacity Building Seminar for Public Primary School Teachers across Ika South Local Government Area.

The seminar, themed “Empowering Primary School Teachers with 21st Century Skills for Effective Teaching and Learning,” underscores the Council’s unwavering commitment to improving the quality of teaching and learning across our public primary schools.

The initiative is designed to equip our teachers with relevant knowledge, contemporary teaching methodologies, and practical skills that will enhance their effectiveness in the classroom and ultimately improve learning outcomes for our children.

At Ika South Local Government Council, we recognise that quality education begins with well-equipped and empowered teachers. Our investment in their professional development is therefore an investment in the future of our children and the sustainable development of our communities.

SA Comr. Chinedu Nduka Hosts Special Birthday Celebration for the Executive Chairman

It was an awesome evening yesterday as the Special Adviser, Comr. Chinedu Nduka, brought together friends and well-wishers, the Secretary to Ika South LGA, HPM Ika South LGA, APC political leaders and stakeholders, and the most prestigious Vice Chairman of the Ika South LGA Council, to celebrate the Executive Chairman, Hon. Engr. Amb. Jerry Ehiwarior, on the occasion of his birthday, even in his absence.

The gathering featured exciting moments as everyone took turns to send their goodwill messages, heartfelt prayers and sincere appreciation for a leader whose administration is centred on people-oriented leadership.

The gathering was a thoughtful gesture by the SA, Comr. Chinedu Nduka, to honour and celebrate the Chairman in his absence, bringing together members of the Council and the political family for a memorable evening of celebration and camaraderie in Agbor.
