Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili adds another feather to his title with a PhD in Philosophy.

Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili ( Mgbologu Okosisi Aguleri) yesterday 3rd August 2026 earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) after successfully defending his doctoral thesis.

His doctoral achievement marks the culmination of a remarkable journey of scholarship, perseverance, and purpose. It stands as a testament to his passion for knowledge, relentless pursuit of wisdom, and unwavering commitment of service to humanity.
His thesis was centered on using Martin Heidegger’s theory of Conscience to solve the problem of moral decadence in Nigeria. His External Examiner was revered Prof. Charles Umeh Nweke of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. Also present at the defence are the Dean of the Postgraduate School, Prof. Osita Chiaghanam, the Head of Department, Dr. Emeka Iloanya; and his supervisors, Prof. Sylvanus Nnoruka and Dr. Donatus Nwoye along with Rev. Fr. Prof. Kenneth Ikenga Oraegbunam and Prof. Ifeanyi Muoneke, among other distinguished academics and well-wishers.

In his remarks, the External Examiner, Prof. Charles Umeh Nweke, commended Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili for his diligence, dedication, and outstanding academic performance. He affirmed that Chief Odili was worthy of the award of the Doctor of Philosophy degree and described him as a worthy ambassador of the discipline.

Delivering his vote of thanks, Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili described the occasion as "the greatest gift I have given myself." He recalled that it represents his most significant personal achievement since returning from the United States of America eight years ago to serve alongside the former Governor of Anambra State.

He further revealed that even after leaving Government House at the end of their administration, he remained committed to his academic pursuit, frequently travelling between Nigeria and the United States to attend lectures and examinations a commitment witnessed by his Head of Department and lecturers.

This outstanding academic accomplishment sends a powerful message to people of all ages: it is never too late to learn, and when wisdom is combined with purposeful action, it transforms lives and inspires generations.

Congratulations, Primus Ugochukwu Odili, PhD, on this remarkable achievement. May this new milestone open even greater opportunities for impactful service, leadership, and excellence.

CHIEF PRIMUS ODILI: THE TRUE FACE of PHILANTHROPY

Mgbologu Okeosisi Aguleri Meets the beneficiaries of his Scholarship for the First Time.

In a memorable and deeply heartwarming gathering at his country home in Aguleri, Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili (Mgbologwu Okeosisi) met, for the first time, many of the students whose education his family has been sponsoring through his scholarship programme.

The beneficiaries, drawn from diverse communities across the area, are part of a scholarship scheme that currently supports 30 students at the secondary school level and has run successfully for several years.

According to the programme coordinators, who reported to a meeting chaired by HRM Igwe M.C. Idigo, 12 of the 30 students sat for this year’s WAEC, thereby completing their secondary education. The coordinators explained that the visit was deliberately arranged to afford Chief Primus and Lolo Maureen Odili the opportunity to meet the beneficiaries in person for the first time since the inception of the programme. It also provided parents of the beneficiaries their first opportunity to meet the individual solely responsible for sponsoring their wards’ education.

Saturday, 1 August 2026, thus marked the first occasion on which Chief Primus Odili (Okeosisi Aguleri) and his amiable wife welcomed a significant number of their scholarship beneficiaries to their home.

Present to witness the remarkable occasion were Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili and his wife, Lolo Chief Maureen Odili (Ugobelunorji Aguleri); His Royal Majesty Igwe Michael Idigo (Ezeudo Aguleri); Igwe Johnson Mbanefo (Ezedioramma Mkpunando Aguleri); the President-General of Aguleri, Hon. Chike Nwabia; former Commissioner for Works, Chief Marcel Ifejiofor; Prof. Charles Ochie, the parents of the beneficiaries, the students themselves; and numerous other distinguished guests. All were visibly filled with joy.

For the students, it was equally fulfilling to put a face to their benefactor and to know that their sponsor is Mgbologwu Okeosisi Aguleri.

The gathering underscored Chief Odili’s enduring commitment to education, youth development, and community service.

Beneficiaries and their families expressed profound gratitude for the life-changing opportunities made possible by his generosity.

Welcome To The Month Of July!

‎My dear people of Anambra North, and ndi Anambra State, welcome to the month of July. A new month comes with the quiet but powerful reminder that time, in its infinite wisdom, always offers us another beginning.

‎Every new month is a gift we did not earn but have been graciously given. A fresh opportunity. The opportunity to correct what went wrong in the previous months. The opportunity to pursue what was postponed. The opportunity to recommit to our; families, communities, our convictions, and our God.

‎As we step into July together, I charge you with these three things: Be intentional. Do not allow this month to pass by without achieving those milestones, therefore, set your goals if you haven't done that yet, and, pursue them with discipline.

‎Be hopeful. The challenges of yesterday do not have the final word over your tomorrow. Every sunrise is God's way of saying "I am not done with you yet." Receive that assurance and walk boldly with it.

‎Be kind. In a world that can be harsh and indifferent, choose to be the warmth that someone else needs. A nation is only as strong as the humanity its people show to one another.

‎I am convinced that July holds great promise for you, for your household, for Anambra, and for the nation . It is my desire that every good thing you have believed for finds its moment of fulfilment in this month, and that the grace that brought you out of June carries you through the remaining months of this year, stronger, wiser, and more grateful than before.

‎Once again,
‎Welcome to July. Make it count.
‎With warm regards and enduring goodwill,

‎Chief Sir Primus Ugochukwu Odili
‎(Mgbologu Okosisi Aguleri)

Today is Father’s Sunday. And we owe it to every man standing in the gap for his family to say this loud: We see you.

You’re the one fixing what breaks at midnight. The one choosing bills over cravings. The one swallowing pain so your children can swallow hope. You don’t always get applause, but you keep showing up. That’s strength. That’s leadership. That’s fatherhood.

To every father, stepdad, uncle, mentor, and guardian: Thank you for carrying weight that was never yours to drop. Thank you for teaching us that responsibility is not weakness, and that love is shown in sacrifice. May your labor not be in vain. May your tomorrow repay every today you gave away.

Happy Father’s Sunday. Stand tall today - your children’s future is proof that your sacrifice counts.

A Birthday Message from Chief Primus Odili!

‎My dear and beloved people of Anambra North Senatorial Zone, and the cherished people of Anambra State. There are moments in a man's life when words feel insufficient, when the weight of gratitude exceeds the capacity of language. Today is one such moment.

‎As I mark another year of life, I find myself not reaching for grand proclamations, but bowing quietly before the Author of all things, in whose hands every breath, every season, and every tomorrow is held. I did not arrive at this day by my own strength. I arrived here carried by grace - the grace of God, who ordains the steps of those who trust Him; the grace of family, whose love has been my shelter in every storm; and the grace of a people - you - whose loyalty, sacrifice, and unwavering belief have been, and remain, the most humbling honour of my public life.

‎To be alive is already an answered prayer. To be alive with purpose, with clarity, and with a people who understand that purpose - that is a rare and extraordinary gift. I do not take it lightly. Every grey hair earned, every battle weathered, every night spent in quiet reflection has only deepened my conviction that I was not placed among you by accident. There is an assignment here. And assignments do not expire because of opposition.

‎I have learned and life has been a most rigorous teacher - that the truest measure of a man is not found in his seasons of triumph, but in his posture during seasons of trial. A tree that cannot bend in the storm is not strong; it is brittle. But a tree whose roots run deep will sway, will creak, and will endure - and when the storm passes, it will still be standing, taller in the eyes of those who watched. ‎I am still standing.

‎Not out of stubbornness, but out of an unshakeable belief that what God has ordained, no man can permanently obstruct. The movement we have built together - rooted in the genuine aspirations of our people - is not a political convenience. It is a covenant. And covenants are not dissolved by a single unfavourable outcome.

‎My vision for Anambra North has never been about a seat. It has always been about a standard - a standard of governance that places the dignity of the ordinary man at the centre of every decision; that builds infrastructure not for commission, but for legacy; that invests in our youth not as instruments of violence, but as architects of tomorrow.

‎That vision is alive. It breathes. It grows. And it will, in due season, find its full expression - because it was never mine alone. It belongs to every farmer in Ogbaru, every trader in Otuocha, every student in Anambra East, every mother in Ayamelum who dared to believe that leadership could be different.

‎As I step into this new year, I am reminded that the most enduring legacies are not built in the noise of campaigns, but in the quiet discipline of daily integrity. A better individual builds a better family. A better family shapes a better community. And a better community, in time, transforms a zone and a state. That is the philosophy I live by. That is the inheritance I intend to leave.

‎To my family - you are my foundation and my greatest pride. To every loyal heart aligned with our shared cause - your faith is not misplaced, and your sacrifice is not forgotten. History is a patient chronicler; it records not merely who won, but who was right.

‎And we are on the right side of history. ‎The sun does not negotiate its rising. Neither does destiny, when it is rooted in truth and powered by purpose. ‎Stay the course. Stay dignified. And keep faith - with God, with one another, and with the Anambra North we are collectively destined to build. ‎The finest chapter is yet to be written.

‎With deep gratitude, unshaken conviction, and enduring love for every one of you.

‎Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili

My Dear People of Anambra North, My Unwavering Supporters!

As we step into June, my heart is full of gratitude for you. In the recently concluded Primary election, along with the unfortunate events that unfolded afterwards, your voices did not just speak, it roared. And that roar was heard far beyond our zone, across our state and our nation. You proved that our collective effort cannot be ignored.

Yes, the outcome was not what your efforts deserved. But let that never shake our resolve. Our vision lives on—stronger, clearer, and more necessary than ever.

Stay patriotic. Stay focused. Great movements are not defined by one setback but by the spirit that refuses to die. Anambra North is watching, and so is history.

Keep faith. Keep marching. The best chapters of our story are still unwritten.

Once again, I wish you all a happy and blessed month of June.

Forward ever!

Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili

Appreciation Message to My Supporters!

‎I extend my deepest gratitude to my wonderful supporters across Anambra North for your unwavering love, loyalty, and sacrifice during the just concluded APGA Senatorial Primary Election.

‎You stood behind me with courage, dedication, and resilience, and our strength was never in doubt. The loyalty of our teeming supporters was beyond question. We fought hard on the field and our presence was felt across the length and breadth of Anambra North Senatorial Zone. Your perseverance yielded the much desired victory, which was aborted before it was announced. Our election was by open ballot, and our win happened in the full glare of everyone.

‎The denial of our victory was also done in the open, and it diminished the enthusiasm with which we all carried our party on eagles’ wings. I condemn, in its entirety, the entire process that robbed us of our well-deserved victory.

‎I salute your courage in remaining calm amid unwelcome provocations meant to instigate violence. I salute your resolve in insisting that the rule of law should prevail. I am very proud of you for exhibiting the maturity that exposed the inconsistencies and irregularities in the just concluded process.

‎The deed is done, and the scars are still very fresh. I urge you to remain calm as we follow through every process that might eventually restore our mandate.

‎I also urge us all to avoid actions that will deepen our division. Party decisions involve many considerations, but they should be communicated on a need to know basis in the best interest of party unity.

‎Thank you for your overwhelming support and unshakable loyalty. Together, we will keep moving forward and upward.

‎Thank you for believing in this vision and for standing by me when it mattered most. Your trust will never be taken for granted, and our journey together is far from over.

‎With love and appreciation,
‎Chief Primus Ugochukwu Odili
