Open Letter: Urgent Need for Intervention in APC Kano Political Crisis
Your Excellency,
President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
Your Excellency,
Governor Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf
I write to you with deep concern and a strong sense of responsibility as a committed member of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), regarding the growing political crisis among key stakeholders in Kano State.
This internal misunderstanding, particularly between the political camps of our respected leader, former Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, and that of Distinguished Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has begun to create visible divisions within the party. These camps, comprising influential leaders such as Engr. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, Engr. Abdullahi T. Gwarzo, Hon. Murtala Sule Garo, and others, represent strong pillars of the APC in Kano whose unity is critical to our collective success.
Your Excellencies, history has shown that unresolved internal conflicts often weaken party structures and reduce electoral strength. As we approach the 2027 general elections, it is imperative that these differences are urgently addressed and resolved through dialogue, reconciliation, and inclusive leadership.
I humbly call on you, as national and state leaders, to intervene swiftly and bring all parties to a common table for peace and unity. Your leadership, wisdom, and timely action will not only restore harmony but also strengthen the APCโs chances of retaining Kano State in the forthcoming elections.
A divided house cannot stand, but a united APC will remain unbeatable.
Thank you for your attention and continued service to our nation and democracy.
Yours faithfully,
Yusuf Sabonzuwa
APC party member
