Commissioning of Ultra-Modern Market in Ozoro, Isoko North LGA

Earlier today, I joined His Excellency, Sir Monday John Onyeme, Deputy Governor of Delta State, at the commissioning of the Ultra-Modern Market in Ozoro, Isoko North Local Government Area.

The completion and commissioning of this important project is another demonstration of the MORE Agenda of the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and its commitment to delivering meaningful infrastructure that directly improves the lives and livelihoods of our people.

Modern markets are not merely commercial spaces; they are centres of economic activity, opportunities and community development. This facility will provide a more conducive environment for traders, strengthen local commerce and contribute to the economic growth of Isoko North and Delta State at large.

I commend the State Government, the people of Isoko North and all those who contributed to bringing this project to fruition.

As a government, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development, economic empowerment and a better quality of life for our people.

Earlier today, I had the honour of joining His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, to welcome His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the Delta State Economic & Investment Summit 2026.

It was an inspiring gathering of government leaders, investors, development partners, and industry experts focused on unlocking Delta State’s economic potential and driving sustainable growth.

The summit featured a keynote address by Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), and a special guest presentation by Professor Patrick Lumumba, whose insights on leadership, governance, and Africa’s development were truly thought-provoking.

Delta is indeed charting a bold path towards greater investment, innovation, and shared prosperity.

Earlier today I joined His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, and the entire Itsekiri Nation in giving a grand royal welcome to His Excellency, Sheriff Oborevwori, to the revered Palace of the Olu of Warri.

In a historic gathering of unity and progress, the Itsekiri Nation formally hosted and endorsed His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for President, and H.E. Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for Governor.

The occasion was further crowned with honour as His Majesty conferred the prestigious Royal Order of Iwere (ROI) on His Excellency, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

A moment of honour, unity, royalty, and a shared vision for a greater Delta and Nigeria.

I had the honour of receiving the Eco Excellence Award in recognition of Outstanding Achievement in Climate Action from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), a professional body I am proud to belong to as a Fellow.

This Award serves as a strong encouragement to continue advancing sustainable water management and environmental protection across Delta State.

I wish to express my profound gratitude to His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, for his visionary leadership and unwavering support, which continue to create an enabling environment for impactful service delivery and sustainable development.

As Commissioner, Ministry of Water Resources Development, I remain committed to driving policies and initiatives that promote climate resilience, safeguard our water resources, and improve the wellbeing of our people.
