Career Start : Bendel State Hospital Management Board under General Hospital Uromi and Government Hospital Igbanke 1983-1986.Left the Hospital Board in 1986 to establish his own clinic called Victory Medical Center in Boji, Owa and Igbanke.

His desire to integrate his people of Ika North into governance, led him into politics in 1991.
His zest for service to society ensured the support of his people.
He became Secretary Ika Local Government Council between 1991-1993.
When Ika North East Local Government was created, he became it's Pioneer Chairman.
His deligence and penchant for committed service to his people, made it inevitable he occupied certain strategic positions :

Delta State Commissioner for Agriculture/Natural Resources 1999-2001.
Delta State Commissioner for Water Resources 2001-2003.
Delta State Commissioner for Health 2003-2006
Secretary of Delta State Transition Committee April/May 2007
Secretary to Delta State Government June 2007-July 2010.
Elected as the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District.
While serving as Senator the call of Deltans led to his contesting for Governor, and won in the 2015 elections and was duly sworn in as Governor of Delta State on May 2015.
Recipients of many awards owing to his passion for development, youths and humanitarian welfare.
Received Man of the Year Awards from notable organizations like Independent Newspapers, Silverbird Group etc
