The Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau, witnessed the official opening of Jobberman Job Centre, Asaba, Delta State held in Asaba.

The initiative, launched by Jobberman Nigeria in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation under the Young Africa Works Programme, is designed to expand access to employment opportunities, employability support, career guidance, skills development and job matching for young people across the State.

The Jobberman Job Centre will serve as a Youth Opportunity and Workforce Innovation Hub, connecting young people with employers, training opportunities and job-ready skills, while providing businesses with access to suitable talent. The Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer reaffirmed the importance of strategic partnerships between government, private-sector and development partners in strengthening Delta State’s employment ecosystem and creating more inclusive pathways to decent and sustainable work for young people.

Day 4 engagement continued with a courtesy visit by the UNDP team to the Secretary to the State Government.
discussions were centred on the State’s partnership with UNDP and how available opportunities and support can be maximised to advance development programmes in Delta State.

The meeting reflected on the experiences from NJFP 1.0 and 2.0, with attention on how lessons from the programmes can inform future interventions, including the possibility of NJFP 3.0. Discussions also explored funding opportunities and counterpart contributions to support and expand programmes in the State.

A key focus was youth employability, with discussions on practical ways to improve skills, work experience and employment opportunities for young people in Delta State, reinforcing the importance of continued collaboration between the State Government and development partners in creating meaningful opportunities for young people.

The Day 3 of the Nigerian Jubilee Fellows Programme tour continues in Asaba with interactive sessions with Fellows and Alumni, alongside engagements with Host Organisations, with the delegation comprising a team from the European Union Delegation, UNDP and the Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau

Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, the Chief Job Creation Officer, interacted with Fellows and Host Organisations, highlighting the importance of making the most of the NJFP opportunity and the value of the skills, experience and professional exposure gained through the programme.

The engagement provided an opportunity for Fellows and Host Organisations to share their experiences, while reinforcing the need for continued collaboration in creating meaningful opportunities for young people.

The European Union Delegation, UNDP, Delta State Job and Wealth Creation Bureau kicks off State Wide Engagement with NJFP Fellows and Host Organisations in Warri.

Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, the Chief Job Creation Officer, highlighted on the importance of NJFP, and sustaining the gains of the programme thereby ensuring that the opportunities created translate into lasting value for young people and participating organisations.

He urged Fellows to document and share their experiences through the My NJFP Story platform. He explained that authentic accounts of how the programme is changing lives can strengthen the case for continued support from funders and encourage further investment in the programme.

He also challenged Host Organisations to recognise the capacity the programme has brought into their organisations and consider ways to retain them.

The engagement highlighted the Federal Government’s efforts in move towards sustainable employment and capacity building for young graduates as well as support the host organisations human resource development

Yesterday, the Chief Job and Wealth Creation Officer, Comrade Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, delivered an inspiring keynote address at the Leadership Summit convened by the Students’ Union Government (SUG) of Dennis Osadebay University, Asaba, where he challenged students to embrace purposeful leadership, personal development, and service as the foundation for lasting impact.

Speaking on the importance of intentional growth, Comr Egwunyenga stated, “Talent alone is not enough. Young people need mentorship, opportunities, skills, and an enabling environment to transform themselves.” He further urged the students to remain committed to capacity building and discipline, stressing that these qualities prepare young people for greater responsibilities and positions of leadership.

He concluded by encouraging the students to seize every opportunity for self-development and to become leaders who will inspire positive change in their communities. The Bureau remains committed to supporting initiatives that nurture leadership, unlock potential, and empower young people to contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and development of Delta State.
