BRIEF STATEMENT OF MOVEMENT FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE:
DESCRIPTION:
Movement for Good Governance ( MGG) is by nature a non-Governmental Organisation and by operation
a Social cm Political pressure association with primary aim : To Promote and Encourage Transparent,
Participatory & Accountable Governance.
MISSION:
The mission and vision of MGG is to assess and monitor the level of governance at all levels of government
via the state of the Economy, Public Finance, Health, Agriculture, Environment, Education, Security &
Employment.
ORGANISATION:
The BOT and the NEC members of MGG were officially inaugurated with a name Atiku Presidency Project,
(APP) on 7th June, 2018 at Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by Prof. Maxwell M. Gidado SAN, and other Atiku
Abubakar Associates, with core mandate of sensitisation, mobilisation, and carrying out advocacy work to
promote good governance which necessitated the support then for Atiku / Obi 2019 Presidency.
After the 2019 general election, APP metamorphosed into Movement for Good Governance (MGG) with
a larger mission and vision to promote transparent, participatory and accountability in governance.
ORIGIN:
The first Branch inauguration of MGG was the AbiaState Branch, which took place at the home state of
the BOT Chairman’s (Chief Solomon Nwigwe) Abia State by January , 2018 followed by IMO Branch.
Anambra State MGG Branch was inaugurated 17th March, 2018 at Awka, the capital City of Anambra by
H.E Oseloka Obaze (OHO), while other states Brancehes inaugurations followed suit, all within the 2nd
quarter of 2018.
STRUCTURAL SPREAD:
MGG is domiciled in about 29 States of the Federation Abuja inclusive, and diaspora chapters such as
Ghana and USA.
ATIVITIES:
MGG has been executing her primary aim via organising seminars, conferences, talk-shows and rallies in
some major cities of FCT, Benin, Anambra, Adamawa, Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi, River, Akwaibom, Abia, Ghnan,
Ibadan, Abeokuta, Enugu, Kogi but to mention a few.
UP COMING EVENT:
The National Working Committee (NWC) of MGG in conjunction with Erudite Forum for Professionals in
Anambra and National Liberator Publisher are organising a CONFERENCE ON GOOD GOVERNANCE with
a theme: TENETS OF GOOD GOVERNANCE: A PANANCEA FOR INCLUSIVE DEVELOPMENT.

mission & vision of MGG.
