THE CHANGE OF PLAYER, THE QUEST FOR LEADERSHIP IS WHAT ANAMBRA SOUTH YEARNS FOR~ SAYS PRINCE SAMBEN NWOSU
By Ijeoma Nwajiobi
Prince Samben Nwosu has expressed excitement over the overwhelming acceptance he has received from various stakeholders in the Anambra South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.
He expressed his excitement during a live interaction on Blaze 95.1 FM, Oraifite, on Monday, October 12, 2026. During the programme, he also discussed his level of preparedness, experience, and commitment to delivering extraordinary dividends of democracy to the people of the zone.
Speaking during the interaction, Nwosu said, “If I had visited about 100 Anambra South stakeholders, 98% welcomed my message and agreed to work with the PDP towards quality representation, while only 2% expressed reservations due to their fear of one powerful man or another.”
He, therefore, expressed optimism that his message of quality representation is gradually gaining acceptance across Anambra South.
The former Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), whose activities were directly supervised by the National Assembly during his tenure, described himself as someone who understands the political terrain of Anambra South.
To buttress his point, he drew an analogy from football, explaining that the first three moves made by a player introduced into a match as a substitute could indicate the player's potential to perform well, rather than requiring a full year of learning before demonstrating competence.
Nwosu further urged the people of Anambra South to reject the continued use of money to influence voters during elections. He noted that the people of the zone were highly enterprising and argued that what they needed was effective government support, particularly through the empowerment of nano-businesses and the creation of an enabling environment for economic growth.
He maintained that providing the necessary support for small-scale enterprises would help improve livelihoods and deliver meaningful democratic dividends to the people of Anambra South.
