The Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) has paid a courtesy visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Business, Trade and Investment, Edo State, Hon. Omoh Anabor, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and promote the growth of small and medium-scale enterprises across the state.
The NASME delegation led by the Chairman, Mr. Frank Aguebor, commended the Honourable Commissioner for his support and for honouring the association’s previous meeting despite receiving the invitation at short notice. He expressed appreciation for the Commissioner’s commitment to engaging with stakeholders in the business community.
He further stated that NASME remains committed to taking its activities to the grassroots, with plans to reach all 18 Local Government Areas of Edo State. He also assured the Ministry that the association would regularly report its activities and progress to enable the government to effectively monitor and support its initiatives.
Responding, the Commissioner, Hon. Omoh Anabor, appreciated the NASME delegates while reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to supporting businesses and creating an enabling environment for enterprise development in the state.
Hon. Anabor further encouraged the association and other small and medium-scale business owners to take advantage of the ongoing CAC and SMEDAN registration initiatives, stressing the importance of formalising businesses in order to access government support and opportunities.
The Commissioner advised on the need for NASME to develop a comprehensive and reliable database of businesses operating across the state.
