So much has been said about SMO's recent trip to London. Some expressions have been logical and valid, while others have bordered on the ludicrous and absurd.

I spent some time with my friend Chris Ekomemen on his 'Media Space Roundtable Discussion' platform a few days back, and we talked about several issues. The London Trip was one of them.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY 2026

Different Contexts, Commom Aspiration.

To my dear young people of Edo South,

Today is a reminder of something I have always believed: the future of Edo is not waiting somewhere ahead of us. It is already in the hands of us young people.

To the young entrepreneur building with little capital, the graduate searching for an opportunity, the creative pursuing a dream, the young woman building a career, and everyone simply trying to find their way, I see you, and I believe in you.

The world is changing fast. Technology, AI, digital skills and entrepreneurship are creating new opportunities every day.

Don't be spectators. Position yourself.

Learn. Build. Network. Create. Take risks. Make mistakes. Start again.

Use your phone for more than scrolling. Use your talent for more than applause. And don't be ashamed to start small. Small beginnings are still beginnings.

To my fellow youths across Edo South, from Oredo to Egor, Ovia, Uhunmwode, Orhionmwon and Ikpoba-Okha, every community within our district , you have the talent, intelligence, and resilience to compete anywhere in the world;

And if you are already succeeding, remember to lift somebody else.

Your dreams are valid.
Your voice matters.
Your generation matters.

Believe in yourself. Believe in Edo. And never underestimate what you can become.

To my dear young people of Edo South,

EDO STATE GOVERNMENT MOVES TO PARTNER WITH JBV CHINA ON ELECTRIC TRICYCLE MANUFACTURING.

The administration of His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has taken practical steps towards partnering with JBV China, a tricycle manufacturing company, to introduce electric tricycles in Edo State.
The proposed partnership is aimed at producing electric tricycles that will help reduce transportation costs, promote cleaner mobility, and support the state’s commitment to environmental sustainability through net zero emission initiatives....

Hon. Paul Usenbo, Commissioner for Power, further explained that the partnership is designed to reduce carbon emissions, promote environmental sustainability, and improve urban mobility across the state......

The Commissioner also stated that the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo has already acquired 15 CNG buses as part of its efforts to provide affordable and cleaner transportation alternatives.....

He added that the Ministry of Power is taking further steps to engage JBV China on the production of electric tricycles as part of the administration’s broader commitment to sustainable transportation and energy solutions.....

The Ihogbe – The Official Family of the Oba of Benin

A rare archival photograph of Chief Ihama N’Ihogbe (middle), Chief Letema, the Okaighele N’Ihogbe (right), and Chief Ogbeide Ihama, the Uhe-Obioba of Benin (left), a title belonging to the Ihogbe N’Ore class of chiefs, all holding ebe ewere leaves during the Ugie Ewere Festival at the Royal Palace of the Oba of Benin in 1981.

The Ihogbe constitute the official extended royal family and sacred spiritual lineage of the Oba of Benin. According to Benin tradition, they trace their ancestry through Pa Idu, the progenitor of the Benin people, to Prince Omonoyan (Oranmiyan), the son of Ekaladerhan N’Izoduwa (Oduwa or Oduduwa), the Oghene N’Uhe.

The Ihogbe are divided into two principal groups:

* Ihogbe N’Idunmwun, headed by Chief Ihama
* Ihogbe N’Ore, headed by Chief Isekhure

Ihogbe N’Idunmwun (Titles residing outside Benin City)

* Ihama – Hereditary (Head)
* Letema – Hereditary (Okaighele)
* Idusinmwioba – Hereditary
* Obariyekeagbon – By appointment
* Uheluyi – By appointment
* Obazuhunmwuwa – By appointment
* Uhemure – By appointment

Ihogbe N’Ore (Titles residing within Benin City)

* Isekhure – Hereditary (Head)
* Esegbure – Hereditary
* Uheluyi – By appointment
* Legema – By appointment
* Uheloro – By appointment
* Uhe-Obioba – By appointment

The Ihogbe play a central role in the obsequies and coronation of an Oba and are the custodians of the Erinmwin’Idu deity and the guardians of some of the most sacred royal, religious, and ceremonial traditions of the Benin Kingdom.

As influential as General TY Danjuma is and was, his beautiful and well-educated wife couldn't represent Taraba in the Senate.

Daisy Danjuma returned to Benin to join a political party, got nominated, and won an election to represent the good people of Benin (Edo South) while still married to General Danjuma.

General Asemota should show his wife the road to Balyesa if she loves that title, distinguished Senator so much. Aaaa Izon!!
