The chairman, Edo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev Frank Omobude is implementing the core values of the board by encouraging Christian to embark on pilgrimage to seek the face of God for spiritual rejuvenation.

Pastor Omobude in continuation of the board sensitisation visit to councils, was at the Oredo Local Government council where he interface with the council boss, Hon. Eng. Gabriel Iduseri and council Officials.

The chairman, Edo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board told the council officials that the benefits of embarking on Pilgrimage is numerous, apart from the spiritual rebirth, it also gives room to deepened relationship with fellow pilgrims and explore the cultural values of the country for proper orientation.

He commended the chairman, Oredo Local Government council Hon. Iduseri for deploying resources accruing to the council for the ex*****on of people oriented projects which has added aesthetic value to the beautification of the council Area.

He said Oredo Local Government Area, being the seat of power with Benin city as the capital of Edo State, sustaining peace, tranquillity and it's transformation is not negotiable which can only be made possible when those at helm of affairs seek the face of God.

Responding, chairman Oredo Local Government council, Hon. Gabriel Iduseri described the appointment of Rev Frank Omobude as chairman, Edo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board as a wise decision taken by Governor Monday Okpebholo in view of his pedigree and antecedents.

The council boss expressed satisfaction over the success recorded by the board in previous Pilgrimage which has restored public confidence on the boards ability to perform yearly Pilgrimage without hitches.

Hon Iduseri reiterated his administration unwavering commitment to partner with the board to ensure that council officials from Oredo benefit immensely from the pilgrimage as the end result will trigger a position turn around for the Local Government council.

The Oredo council boss commended Governor Monday Okpebholo for putting the transformation of Edo in all ramifications first above personal and primordial sentiments which has tricled down to Local Government Areas as evidenced by the various projects being executed by council areas across the state.

Hon Iduseri called on Edo people to sustain the developmental drive of Okpebholo led administration through prayers and cooperation with Government policies and programmes.

Rev. Frank Omobude attended the final burial ceremony of the late Hon. Garubba, Special Adviser on Arewa Matters to the Governor, to bid farewell to a great political mobilizer.

Today, the Chairman of the Edo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Omobude, alongside other pastors and representatives of the Arewa Christian community, joined the family of the deceased at his residence, where he was formally laid to rest.

OKPEBHOLO GIVES SPEEDY APPROVAL TO THIS YEAR'S PILGRIMAGE TO DESIGNATED COUNTRIES

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has given speedy approval for this year's Pilgrimage to the holy land of Israel, Jordan and Rome.

This is coming on the heels of seeking the face of God and depending on the efficacy of prayers in sustaining good Governance in the state which has been the hallmark of his Administration.

Chairman, Edo State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board Rev Frank Omobude, while on sensitization visit to Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area, said the board in line with its core value of providing platform for intending pilgrims to fulfill their dreams has drawn blueprints for a hitches free exercise.

He told the council boss that the board is leveraging on the success recorded during the last year's Pilgrimage to the holy land of Israel and kingdom of Jordan where the state 43 contingent performed the spiritual exercise without hitches and returned to the state without any case of abscondment.

Rev Omobude attributed the feats recorded by the board to the tremendous support and unwavering commitment by Governor Okpebholo to re-engineered the board in line with the shine Agenda of his Administration.

According to the board chairman the Governor has been very supportive to the board activities, especially the yearly Pilgrimage to designated counties where pilgrims intensified effort in praying for peace, progress, tranquility and sustainable development in the state.

Rev Omobude encourages the council boss to nominate some council officials and sponsor them on the pilgrimage to Isreal, Jordan and Rome as the spiritual benefit from the pilgrimage will have a positive impact in the smooth administration of the council.

Chairman, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government council, Hon Eric Sino Osawaru reaffirmed his administration commitment to align with the policies and programmes of the Okpebholo led administration as envisioned to transforming the growth of the state.

Hon Osawaru acknowledge the efficacy of prayers, seeking the face of God, and guided by divine directions as major instruments to overcome challenges, especially Economic predicament which requires tactical approach and bold reforms to surmount.

The council boss assured that his administration will synergies with the board to ensure that officials of the council are giving the opportunity to embark on pilgrimage to the holy land of Israel, Jordan and Rome.
