NOA BAUCHI NEWS: NOA BAUCHI STATE DIRECTORATE HOLDS SUCCESSFUL STAKEHOLDERS' CONFERENCE TO PROMOTE NATIONAL COHESION AND UNITY.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bauchi State Directorate, today 14th July, 2025 organized a one-day stakeholders meeting on "Pathway to National Cohesion, Development, and Unity" with a focus on curbing banditry in the state. The meeting brought together community leaders, government officials, civil society organizations, youth groups, and citizens to discuss strategies for promoting peace and stability in Bauchi State.

During the meeting, the State Director of NOA Bauchi, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, explained the event's objectives, highlighting the far-reaching consequences of banditry on security, economic stability, and social well-being.

Meanwhile, The Commissioner for Information, Honourable Usman Shehu Usman, commended NOA's efforts and announced the governor's approval for establishing a NOA desk officer within the state Ministry of Information and Communication.

The event featured insightful presentations from key figures, including the Commissioner for Internal Security, State Police Commissioner, and Zonal Commander NSDC. Participants engaged in a vibrant discussion, sharing ideas and building partnerships to contribute to a more peaceful and united Bauchi State.

NOA BAUCHI NEWS: - NOA BAUCHI STATE DIRECTOR URGED NYSC MEMBERS TO EMBODY NATIONAL VALUES.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Bauchi State, led by Acting Director Mallam Adamu Umar Sarkinyara, has called on National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members posted to the state to inculcate, imbibe, and institutionalize the new National Values Charter (NVC) in all aspects of their lives. This call was made during the 2025 NYSC Orientation lecture series, which slated June 20th and 21st, 2025, at the Bauchi State Permanent NYSC Orientation Camp at Wailo Village, Ganjuwa Local Government Area.

Mallam Sarkinyara emphasized the crucial role national values play in nation-building, highlighting the importance of the NVC in fostering a united and prosperous Nigeria. The NVC outlines reciprocal commitments between the government and citizens, encapsulated in the "7 for 7" framework.

CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION - NOA BAUCHI PARTNERS WITH NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR ALMAJIRI TO ADDRESS OUT-OF-SCHOOL CHILDREN

In a significant move aimed at addressing the issue of out-of-school children in Bauchi State, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bauchi has partnered with the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children. This partnership is part of the ongoing Children's Day sensitization and enlightenment campaign, which seeks to raise awareness about children's rights and increase school enrollment in the state.

The partnership was formalized during a courtesy visit by the National Commission to the NOA Bauchi office on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. During the visit, the NOA Bauchi State Director, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, represented by Acting Director Malam Umar Adamu Sarkin Yara, welcomed the commission's visit, noting that it came at a crucial time amidst NOA's ongoing advocacy visits and sensitization for this year’s children's day. He reaffirmed NOA Bauchi commitment to championing children's rights, particularly their right to education and protection.
The Acting State Director assured the State Coordinator and his team of NOA readiness to collaborate with the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children to move both Bauchi State and Nigeria forward.

Malam Umar Adamu Sarkin Yara highlighted the agency’s recent initiative, the CHLEEAN project, which focuses on addressing various national issues. CHLEEAN stands for Crime-free society, Healthcare services for all, Lawlessness, Environment, Education, Abuse, and Nationalism. He pointed out that one of the significant barriers to education and children's rights is the insufficient awareness among parents and guardians.

*NOA BAUCHI NEWS; NOA BAUCHI STATE DIRECTORATE CONDUCTS IN-HOUSE TRAINING on CLHEEAN.*

Yesterday Monday, 19th May, 2025. The National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bauchi State Directorate held an in-house training session focused on the CLHEEAN initiative.

The training aimed to equip NOA staff with essential knowledge and skills to effectively serve the grassroots community and align with the agency's five-year roadmap under the renewed hope agenda of President Ahmed Tinubu.

In his opening remarks, Acting State Director and Deputy Director Umar Adamu Sarkin Yara emphasized the importance of the training, stating that it is crucial for enhancing the agency's capacity to fulfill its mandate. He highlighted the need for staff to be well-informed and proactive in their roles to meet the expectations of the communities they serve. He thoroughly explored the concepts of CLHEEAN as in NOA's roadmap.

The training featured presentations from Deputy Directors Mr. Zakariyya Nuhu and Malam Danmusa Muhammad, who talked on the National Identity Project, among other critical topics. The session included interactive discussions with Desk Officers from various Departments and Units, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Participants also engaged in a questions and answers segment, allowing for clarification of concepts and sharing of insights.

At the end of the training, Ag. Director Umar Adamu Sarkin Yara encouraged attendees to remain committed to continuous learning and punctuality in future sessions, as the training is an ongoing process designed to prepare them for a series of upcoming programs and NOA Bauchi State Directorate remains dedicated to enhancing its staff's capabilities to better serve the public and support national initiatives geared towards building Nigerians to build Nigeria.

*NOA BAUCHI NEWS: NOA BAUCHI STATE DIRECTOR DEPARTURE TO SAUDI ARABIA*

Today, Wednesday, 16th of May, 2025, the State Director National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bauchi Directorate, Alh. Muhammad Nasiru Mahe departure to Saudi Arabia for delegation.

The State Director has been appointed by the State Government to be among the members of the Bauchi State officials to lead Hajj contingent for this year’s 2025 Pilgrimage.

In his farewell address, Alh. Nasiru urged staff to dedicate to their duties and cooperate with the Acting Director, Mallam Umar Adamu Sarkinyara who took the affairs of the Agency’s on 9th May, 2025. The NOA Bauchi Director also prayed for success of this task at Holy Land and the Agency’s progress.

Finally, Alh. Mahe thanked His Excellency, the Executive of Bauchi State for given NOA this golden opportunity to lead Hajj Contingent as well as to orient and sensitize the Pilgrims at the Holy Land.

NOA BAUCHI NEWS; Two Days Orientation lectures on Value Re-orientation and Sensitization

The Bauchi State Director, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, conducted a series of Sensitization lectures for Batch "A" stream I Corps members posted to the State at NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Wailo, Ganjuwa LGA, Bauchi state.no Saturday 3rd and Monday 5th May, 2025.

During the presentations, NOA Boss thoroughly covered the seven pillars of National Core Values (Human Dignity, Voice and Participation, patriotism, Personal Responsibility, Integrity, National Unity, and Professionalism) outlined in the 1999 Nigerian constitution.

The NOA Director emphasized that the National ethics and integrity policy was a collaborative effort between the Federal Government, ICPC, and NOA to combat the detrimental effects of corruption and moral decadence in both the public and private sectors. He also highlighted the importance of prioritizing the nation's interests over personal interests, enjoined the youths, as future leaders, to act with integrity and consistency based on established societal standards and principles in their areas of primary assignment.

Finally, At the conclusion of the two-day lectures, corps members expressed their preparedness and dedication to upholding and advocating for the national core values, aimed at fostering peace, unity, and national stability.

NOA BAUCHI NEWS: Advocacy Visit to the District Head of Bauchi.

The Newly North-East Zonal Director, Alhaji Ali Audu Yesterday, Wednesday 23rd April, 2025 accompanied by the Bauchi State Director, Alh. Muhammad Nasiru Mahe and other staff members of NOA Bauchi paid an advocacy visit to the District Head of Bauchi, Alhaji Nuru Adamu Jumba.

During the visit, the North-East Zonal Director sought the support and blessings of traditional rulers, as well as recognizing their critical role as gatekeepers in promoting social reorientation and community development. Alhaji Audu praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration for recognizing the importance of the NOA and appointing Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, who has made significant progress in just one and a half years in office.

In his response, the District Head of Bauchi, Alhaji Nuru Adamu Jumba, who was represented by the Dankaden Bauchi, Alhaji Zailani Mahmood, expressed gratitude to the Zonal Director and his entourage for their visit. He congratulated Alhaji Ali Audu on his new position and appreciated his efforts to align with the traditional institution.

The traditional ruler commended the National Orientation Agency (NOA) for its commendable work in public enlightenment and sensitization. He reiterated his commitment to supporting and collaborating with the agency, also emphasized the importance of synergy in disseminating information to the grassroots whenever needed. Alhaji Zailani Mahmood also appealed to the Zonal Director to translate the publications into local languages, particularly Hausa Language, which would help people at the grassroots level to clearly and better understanding the government messages.

NOA BAUCHI NEWS: Working Visit to NOA Bauchi State Directorate by the North-East Zonal Director.

Yesterday, Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the Bauchi State Directorate of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) under the leadership of it's Director, Alh. Muhammad Nasiru Mahe hosted the North East Zonal Director Alhaji Ali Audu, for a working visit.

In his welcome address, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, the State Director of NOA Bauchi, commended the Director General of NOA, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, for his efforts to reposition the Agency. He highlighted the establishment of Zonal Offices across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones as a significant achievement. Alhaji Mahe congratulated Newly North-East Zonal Director, Ali Audu on his new role and emphasized the importance of the North East Zonal Office in promoting and supporting the Agency's mission to sensitize and mobilize Nigerian citizens on government programs and fostering peace, unity, and development in the region and across the country.

In his keynote address, Alhaji Ali Audu expressed his excitement at being the first Zonal Director to oversee the directorates of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba, and Yobe states. He stated that zonal directorate system aims to enhance oversight, supervision, and implementation of the Agency's mandate. He also noted that this initiative is part of the innovations introduced by the current DG NOA to advance the agency's objectives.

Alhaji Audu urged NOA Bauchi management to engage staff in capacity-building training to ensure they understand the Agency's vision, mission, and strategies for effective communicating government policies. He stressed the importance of familiarizing staff with national identity projects outlined in the National Value Charter. He emphasized that NOA staff should view their roles not merely as jobs but as a commitment to contributing toward the Country Development.

NOA BAUCHI RECEIVED NATIONAL FILMS AND VIDEO CENSOR BOARD ON COURTECY VISIT

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) Bauchi State Directorate on Monday, March 24, 2025 received a courtesy visit from the National Films and Video Censors Board (NFVCB).

In his speech, the Acting State Director of NOA Bauchi, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, expressed his appreciation for the visit and affirmed NOA's commitment to work alongside NFVCB. He emphasized the Agency's dedication to promoting moral values in the state, aligning with the NOA reasons on the integrity clubs established in secondary schools across Nigeria. These initiatives are purely designed to modify children's behavior positively. Alhaji Mahe also reiterated NOA's efforts to ensure that 70% of cartoon animations produced in Nigeria reflect local content, norms, and cultural values to foster the proper upbringing of younger generations. He assured the NFVCB delegation of NOA’s readiness to collaborate with them in the areas of school visitation and other programs to enhance the effectiveness of both organizations mandates.

While speaking during the meeting, the North East Zonal Coordinator of NFVCB, Mrs. Sangari Rabi Muhammad, emphasized the purpose of the visit, which was to congratulate the Acting Director of NOA Bauchi and to explore opportunities for partnership. She highlighted the importance of character modeling and the need for effective Sensitization to students and engagement with parents and guardians through school visits and community gatherings.

And the focus of the visit was on raising awareness about responsible phone usage and the dangers of exposure to unclassified films and illicit content. Thus, promoting moral values and guiding the younger generation.

NOA BAUCHI NEWS: NOA Bauchi State Receives Advocacy Visit from SEMSAS.

On Friday, February 28, 2025, the State Emergency Medical Services and Ambulances System (SEMSAS) paid an advocacy visit to the Acting Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Bauchi State, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, in his office. The visit aimed to familiarize the SEMSAS team with the NOA leadership, intimate him about their activities, as well as to harness potential areas for collaboration. Aliyu Ahmed Bello, the head of Advocacy and Social Mobilization for SEMSAS, led the team and emphasized the SEMSAS mission is to reduce maternal mortality rates and address various emergency cases in the state, inline with NEMSAS mandate. He outlined the three thematic areas of SEMSAS: a call center, ambulances, and treatment centers, all designed for timely responses and efficient patient evacuation to the nearest health facilities. Notably, all services provided under emergency cases are offered free of charge to citizens. During the meeting, Aliyu highlighted significant achievements of SEMSAS, reporting that in February alone, the program assisted 38 delivery mothers and addressed 256 emergency cases, totaling 288 cases within the month. Currently, SEMSAS is piloting its initiatives in four local government areas (LGAs) of Bauchi State: Alkaleri, Toro, Darazo, and Bauchi, with plans to extend services to hard-to-reach rural areas.

In response, Ag. Director NOA Bauchi State, Alhaji Nasiru Mahe, expressed his pleasure at receiving such an important team and praised the project as commendable. He assured the SEMSAS representatives of NOA's commitment in raising awareness and educating grassroots communities about SEMSAS's services and activities. He promised to utilize NOA’s Structure Platforms and Strategy Collaboration (SPSC) to ensure that the people of Bauchi State benefit from these initiatives, ultimately contributing to a reduction in maternal mortality rates.
