BAUCHI CONDUCTS LANDMARK INVESTMENT SUMMIT, SECURES $5.2 BILLION INVESTMENTS WITH 47 MOUS SIGNED�

The Bauchi State Economic & Investment Summit 1.0, held on October 8–9, 2025 at the Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre, Bauchi, successfully concluded with groundbreaking outcomes — including 47 signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and investment commitments valued at over $5.2 billion (₦7.8 trillion) across key sectors.

The two-day event, themed “Rebuilding a Resilient Economy: Optimizing Investment and Partnerships,” brought together over 1,900 participants, including two former Presidents — Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, as well as Vice President Kashim Shettima, Governors, diplomats, global investors, and development partners.

Key outcomes include major MoUs with China Fuhai Energy Group ($2.7B Petrochemical City Complex), African Athlete Academy ($1B Sports & Youth Development Centre), and Resident Cement Group & Ecotech ($1B Cement & Infrastructure Project). The summit also resolved to establish the Bauchi State Investment Promotion Agency (BASIPA) by November 2025 and invigorate the Bauchi Investment for Growth (BIG) Project to drive MSME, youth, and women-led enterprise development.

Bauchi State has firmly positioned itself as the new frontier for investment in Nigeria’s North-East — open for business, rich in opportunities, and ready to build the future through partner .
