THE ACCOUNTANT GENERAL JOINS GOVERNOR BASSEY OTU IN THANKSGIVING SERVICE HONOURING THE LEGACY OF HIS LATE PARENTS
The Accountant General of Cross River State, Dr. Mrs. Glory Tony Effiong, today joined His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, members of the State Executive Council, government officials, family members, friends and well-wishers at a special Thanksgiving Service held in honour of the cherished memories of the Governor's late parents, Late Elder and Mrs. Edet Okon Otu.
The solemn and inspiring service celebrated the remarkable lives of two individuals whose enduring legacy of faith, compassion, discipline, humility and selfless service continues to inspire generations of Cross Riverians.
Speaking after the service, the Accountant General described the thanksgiving as a fitting tribute to parents whose values continue to reflect in the Governor's style of leadership and unwavering commitment to the People First Agenda. She noted that the lessons of integrity, service, compassion and dedication to humanity exemplified by the late Elder and Mrs. Otu remain worthy of emulation.
Dr. Glory Tony Effiong prayed for the peaceful repose of their souls and asked God to continue granting His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, divine wisdom, strength and good health as he continues to provide purposeful leadership for the people of Cross River State.
The Accountant General was accompanied by members of the management and staff of the Office of the Accountant General, who joined other dignitaries in celebrating a life of service, honour and lasting legacy.
