After much consultation and advises, I'd like to inform us that we will be having our first physical meeting after a while.

The meeting will take place within the school premises on Sunday, 18th April, 2021 by 4:00pm prompt.

On June 17,2019, Hype Foundation,a non-governmental organisation organised a competition with several secondary Schools in Calabar, Cross River State attending.The event was held at Federal Government Girls College Atimbo Calabar.Schools in attendance include Government Secondary School Akim,GSS Atu,GSS Barracks Road,GSS Uwanse,GSS Big Qua Town,Govt Technical College Mayne Avenue, Victory Sec Sch Allman,GSS Lagos Street etc.The main purpose of the event is have contests in debate, essay, oratory and playlett.Besides,the students were to be enlightened on areas that include the dangers of drug addiction and personal finance.A book on financial management titled "Growing Your Money:An Introduction to Basic Financial Education & Management for Students" written by Fidelity Bank was distributed to students at the event. The Nigerian Drugs Law Enforcement Agency also participated as it's officials educated students on the rise of drug trafficking and it's use in Nigeria,it's association with crime and the physical, mental and psychological effects on users. Regarding the contests Government Secondary School Uwanse Calabar thrilled the attendees with a superb rendition of their oral work.The first student had a standing ovation from start to finish.A plague in recognition of the efforts of the students was given to the school.
