The National Orientation Agency, FCT Directorate stands with the world to honor the quiet heroes among us.

FROM WASTE TO WEALTH!

Today, 3rd August 2026, the NOA FCT Directorate held an in-house Step-Down Training on the Waste-to-Wealth Initiative.

Following our participation in the UNDP/Nigerian Environmental Society Training-of-Trainers Programme, Director, Princess Egbe Akenzua, took staff through practical sessions on transforming everyday waste into useful and decorative items.

Staff learned hands-on skills using water containers, disposable plates, beads, glitters, thread and other recyclables to create valuable products.

Speaking during the session, Princess Egbe Akenzua urged staff to practice these skills at home and in their communities.
Waste is not refuse. Waste is a resource. When we recycle, we promote environmental cleanliness, create jobs, and build entrepreneurship."

NOA FCT remains committed to driving environmental sustainability through public sensitization and staff capacity development. We will continue to advocate for proper waste management across the FCT and beyond.

NOA AND SUNU HEALTH HMO SENSITIZATION FORUM WRAP-UP

Health insurance is not just a card. It’s your RIGHT to quality and affordable healthcare!

The National Orientation Agency in partnership with Sunu Health HMO held a 2-day Stakeholder Sensitization Forum on NHIA & HMO Services at NOA HQ, Area 1, Abuja.

What happened in 2 days?
✅ Stakeholders aligned to drive tech-driven, people-centered healthcare
✅ Nigerians were educated on NHIA benefits, enrolment, referrals & beneficiary rights
✅ FREE Hepatitis B screening for participants
✅ Powerful Health Talk: Healthy Living: A Matter of Choice Eat right, check up, manage stress
✅ Live Q&A: We answered real questions on claims, dependants, emergency care & digital access

Flagged off by Mrs. Ayishola Olowoyo, with leaders from NOA, NHIA & Sunu Health HMO including Dr. Faith Nwachi, COO Sunu Health HMO present.

One donation saves lives.
It helps surgery patients, accident victims, moms during childbirth, cancer fighters, and people with blood disorders.

There’s still no substitute for human blood. Hospitals need a steady supply every single day for emergencies + routine care.

Turning Waste into Wealth for a Cleaner FCT!

NOA FCT joined UNDP Nigeria, Nigerian Environmental Society & Integrated Recyclers for the Waste-to-Wealth Training-of-Trainers Programme.

When & Where:
9th June 2026 - Alhaji Gambo Hall, Kwali Area Council
11th June 2026 - Statement Hotel, CBD, Abuja

Why it matters:
We trained stakeholders + partners including Waste Pickers Association, AEPB, STDD & delegates from all 6 FCT Area Councils on practical ways to manage waste sustainably.

From recycling demos to policy discussions, the message was clear: waste isn’t trash, it’s opportunity. Converting waste to useful, marketable products = jobs, income, and a cleaner environment.

Speaking at the close, NOA FCT Director Princess Egbe Akenzua reaffirmed our commitment to sensitize residents on proper waste disposal & environmental sanitation.

A cleaner FCT starts with all of us. Let’s reduce, reuse, recycle.
