STSG YOBE STATE CHAPTER HOLDS FIRST OFFICIAL MEETING WITH ZONAL AND STATE LEADERSHIP
The Seyi Tinubu Support Group (STSG Yobe), Yobe State Chapter, held its first official meeting on Friday, 27th June 2025, in Damaturu. The gathering marked a vital step in establishing the operational structure of the state chapter, bringing together newly appointed executive members, media team officials, and strategic stakeholders to chart a unified path forward under the broader objectives of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The meeting had in attendance top figures from both the state and zonal levels of the support group, most notably the North-East Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Kyari Yunusari , and the Yobe State Coordinator, Hon. Usman Mukhtar Abadan. Their presence reflected the strength of the STSG’s grassroots framework and its commitment to active youth engagement and regional coordination.
In his opening remarks, Shehu Usman, the North-East Zonal Director of Media & Publicity and State Media Activist for Yobe, welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of strong media presence, message discipline, and strategic communication in advancing the group's mission. He also acknowledged the high level of trust reposed in the Yobe team and pledged to ensure visibility, both online and offline, for the group’s initiatives across the state and beyond.
The State Coordinator, Hon. Usman Mukhtar Abadan, delivered a powerful address centered around the group’s real purpose: youth representation, inclusion, and empowerment. He made it clear that the STSG is not just a political tool but a people-driven initiative, geared toward skills development, civic education, community empowerment, and sustainable support for young people who believe in responsible leadership. He described the support for Seyi Tinubu not as a campaign for position, but as an endorsement of a symbol — a bridge between youth potential and national progress.
Also speaking at the event, Alhaji Kyari Bakuwa, the Zonal Coordinator, encouraged members to maintain loyalty, discipline, and grassroots mobilization across the six states in the North-East. He commended the Yobe team for their readiness and noted that the group’s impact will depend on how effectively members work together to communicate progress and represent the people.
The meeting featured self-introductions of all appointed members, a briefing on STSG’s structure and mission, open-floor discussions, and the presentation of initial strategies for media visibility, team synergy, and community engagement.
As the meeting concluded, members reaffirmed their commitment to the APC-led administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice Kashim Shettima, and the values embodied by Seyi Tinubu — a young leader who continues to inspire the next generation through service, humility, and vision.
