Senate Committee Honours Akwanga Chairman as "Outstanding LG Chairman in Nigeria"

The Executive Chairman of Akwanga Local Government Council and Chairman of ALGON, Nasarawa State, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, has been honoured with the Outstanding Local Government Chairman in Nigeria Award.

The award, presented by the Senate Committee on States and Local Government Administration in collaboration with Global Gold Consults Ltd, recognizes his commitment to grassroots development, inclusiveness, and impactful leadership.

The honour was initially received on his behalf on December 3, 2025, by the Chairman of Keana LGA, Hon. Adamu Aboki Usman, who formally handed it over to Hon. Andaha at the Akwanga Local Government Secretariat on Thursday.

The brief ceremony was attended by Akwanga Local Government APC Chairman, Alh. Liman Abbas, leaders of the council, staff, and supporters who commended his developmental strides and leadership style.
